After realizing that, sadly, my classmates can't understand maths to save their lives, I decided I'm going to give a dubloon to whoever solves this problem first. All participants will get some omelette (if they want to).
PM me the answer you think is correct, and the link to a trade.

Omelettes and Dubloons
A lupe and a kacheek decided to have a trip to Krawk Island, but since they didn't like foreign food they brought some of their favourite omelettes with them. The lupe brought 3 bacon omelettes, the kacheek brought 2 plain omelettes.

When they sat down on the seashore to eat, they noticed an old friend of theirs and invited him. The friend, a krawk, hadn't brought food with him, so the lupe and the kacheek gave him some pieces of their omelettes. They did the parts so good that no-one ate more omelette than another.
The krawk had just won the jackpot at Buried Treasure, so before leaving he decided to give some money to his old friends who had been generous with him. He gave 4 dubloons to the lupe, and 1 to the kacheek.

The kacheek complained, of course, but the krawk explained that the money was proportional to the value and quantity of the omelettes: it was only fair that the lupe got 4 dubloons because he shared 3 bacon omelettes, and the kacheek got 1 dubloon because he shared 2 plain omelettes.

Question: How many plain omelettes is a bacon omelette worth?

Important note #1: The actual market value of plain omelettes and bacon omelettes isn't important. Don't look at that, just at the text of the problem.
Important note #2: The krawk was right. It was fairier that way.

Question, does that mean they got equal parts of each type, or equal amounts of ommmmmmelette in total, ie 2/3rds ofplain and 1 bacon, or each parson got 5/3rds of ommmmelettes in total??

Phlameseeker, it's 2/3 plain + 1 bacon, but I don't think it's important...

Anyway, of the 3 people who sent an answer in, only sirclucky got it right. So he gets the dubloon (better late than never ) and the others get omelettes.
I'll write the solution in a couple of hours, in case someone else wants to try and solve it.

So... the solution!
The confusing part was when I say that "it was only fair that the lupe got 4 dubloons because he shared 3 bacon omelettes, and the kacheek got 1 dubloon because he shared 2 plain omelettes"
It was shared, not gave. Because the lupe and the kacheek ate part of the omelettes, too.
So everyone ate 5/3 omelette.
The lupe brought 9/3 omelette, and gave 4/3 to the krawk.
The kacheek brought 6/3 omelette, and gave 1/3 to the krawk.
4/3 omelette is worth 4 dubloons, 1/3 is worth 1 dubloon.
They have the same value
