Ever have a secret ambition, something you figured people would think was really wierd or funny? Or some secret dream you really wanted but never thought you'd achieve?

I've think that I might want to be a sailor, not like the navy or anything, but a sailor on tall ships, those replica ships of 17th and 18th century ships. The ships are mostly used for tourist, educational, and movie purposes so it's not like I'd have a real lucritive job but it'd never get boring. I've always loved anything and everything nautical, I'm even writing a story about a ship where the captain is a girl based loosely on myself. Then yesterday my family and I went on an "adventure sail" on the Lady Washington (aka the Intercessor from PotC). It was one of those trips where everyone including the kids gets to help out and they teach you a little about handling the lines. Then one of the crew members was talking to me about their volenteer program where I could sign aboard for two weeks and learn all about sailing and be one of the crew during that time, and afterward I could join the regular crew rotation and work my way up to being paid crew if I wanted. I'm thinking I'll do the program this summer if they have an opening, and if not, maybe I can find another tall ship that will take me on. Then I'll see if it's something I really want to do. I can just imagine family reunions in the future. Cousin A - So what is it you do for a living? Me - Oh, I'm bosun's mate aboard the (insert ship name) Cousin A - Oh really. Erm, how nice.

So anyone else got a secret ambition, crazy or sane, impossible or otherwise?

Perform in the West End. No point to the dream as hundreds of others are better than me. Nope, I try to keep my dreams realistic.

To become an actress, as silly as it sounds.

Its just that when I grow up, I don't want to be stuck with the same old job my entire life... Working in a little office cubical or something like that.
When your acting you become all these different kind of characters, it could never get boring, the way I see it.

Or ... become rich (somehow ) and buy a huge plot of land where I could build my own designed house/farm and lots and lots of animals. There'd be four floors with lots of secret passages that only I knew about, and on the ground floor there's be an extension where all my animals could live... stables, and stuff for the bigger 'farm' animals and then I would have another set of rooms for other animals.

In addition to taking over the world, I suppose becoming famous. I also harbor this odd fantasy of becoming a famous voice actress because I'm weird. (My voice isn't all that great, unfortunately.)

Hehe, that reminds me, in ninth grade I had a friend who said he wanted to either take over the world or own a paper clip factory. I wanted to be a lawyer at the time, so I said I'd represent if he ever gotten put on international trial, and I'd also take care of the legal stuff for his paper clip factory, so even if world domination didn't work out he at least had his paper clips to come home to.

I either want to be a singer in a punk band or be a star on Boradway
