I looove meat . I would find it extremely difficult to go gegeterian. So would my mum, seeing as she cooks most meals and they mostly have meat in them.

In Kenya, with basic food. Not exactly perfect setting. They didn't eat items like Quorn, or other food that subsitute meat, soya etc. Kenya isn't a well nourished country like America, or Britain either.

From what I see, vegetarianism isn't even a high in Kenya, the vegetarian diet, was, well, just maize and cassava. I'd like to see any american live off maize and cassava.

If you were to have a group of American vegetarians, and american omivores, with the vegetarians eating any Vegeterian products, you'll probably find that there isn't much difference between the two at the end.

That was in the article as well, though they did not go in-depth into it.

Which doesn't stand for much as there is no actual evidence than their word.

My best friend was raised vegetarian. She's in gifted, excels in everything, and is quite healthy. I don't think not eating meat hurt her in any way. (Her mother was also a vegetarian, and she was obviously not hurt from that, either.)

There's very little comprable from Africa to the developed world, and very little a vegetarian diet does not provide. (In other words, what Paul said.)

I heard on the radio today that the Vegan Society have been saying the Vegans are healthier than meat eaters.

That came as such a shock, I was expecting them to announce that a vegan diet is terrible

They always say that, its propaganda in the same way in NZ the meat companies have propaganda.

That couldn't be more wrong.

The thing is, it doesn't matter whether you eat meat or not, just as long as you somehow get the vitamins and nutrients that you would usually have be eating said meat.

Many people condemn vegetarians and vegans for not eating meat, saying we're killing ourselves, we're going to starve to death, etc., but in truth, they're quite wrong- being a vegetarian is really just like having a normal diet.

I could be the unhealthiest person in the world as a meat-eater, and I could be as sick while being a vegetarian or vegan. It just comes down to eating healthily and choosing the right foods.

'Course, I could be very much wrong, but my mom's the one who's the nurse, medical professor and scientist, so blame her if I'm wrong, because she's the one that tells me these things.
