This goes out to all those who cited Christianity as a reason for being vegeterian.

Then using the Bible is a pointless way of trying to demonstrate anything. It contradicts its self.

Although, like I said before, whether the bible says it is good or bad to eat meat is as relevant as the printed media saying it.

Of course, I would hope no one uses the Bible as the sole justification for anything. It's full of contradiction, especially between the Old and New Testaments.

But yes, xerai, thanks for giving me that verse, now I have more evidence to back myself up whenever someone tries to cite the Bible as gospel truth. ;) I do absolutely agree that it is full of contradictions, though most times you need to examine the context and background of what is being said.

It's a bit of hyperbole to demonstrate people's inability to accept other views, no matter how absurd there own could appear, not over the top...

While we're at it, lets use the bible as reasons for slavery, racism, sexism, slavery, stealing, forgiving people, killing people as revenge and slavery.

I just looked at this topic again...And I was just about to make the Jesus being a vegetarian argument to the Christians here, but it was done! So...

Another thing that it doesn't seem that anyone I know understands is supply and demand. I'll be talking to someone, and they'll be like, it won't matter if I don't eat meat, the animals will still be killed. Then I'll say something like, no, they won't, they will kill less because there's less supply and demand, and no one understands!
