Hey look, something recent from Ledi that isn't done on Paint! :P

Seriously, this picture took me aaaaages to do, and I'm now trying to get it so it will print properly (right now the wings are black with no shading)

Ages = 1 hour to draw, 30 minutes to pen, and about...oh, I don't know... 20-30 hours to colour. It was coloured biiiig, in high detail.

If you can't see any shading on the wings, turn up the brightness on your monitor. It is there, I swear it! The wings took most of my colouring time!

The character belongs to one of my friends.

There is a slightly larger version Here

That's amazing. I wonder how well it would turn out printed as a poster? hmmm...... I like it alot.

Wow! I love the robe and the wings. The time you spent coloring it shows. Everything looks perfect! Plus, heh, I like the expression. He's sort of smug, but that's because he so darn cool! XD

My monitor is on max brightness yet I barely see any shading on the wings. :P

The shading on the rest of him though, it's all smoooth and good-lookin. And his hands are drawn really well. I hate drawing hands, they turn out weird, but you draw them good. =D

As for other stuff, well, his wings on the left (our right) look bigger than the wings on the other side. Also, his hairline is up too high. The lines are kind of shaky, too. Otherwise, he's spiffy.

I like his outfit ^__^

I love the detail you put into the design of the robe. Gosh, I have no patience with things like cut or design or...well clothing in general really. All of my characters look like colorful smudges with faces XD

You did a lovely job on the costume and detailing, but the anatomy on the face is quite off. The eyes, nose, and mouth should be higher up on the face. As is, they are bunched down near the chin. Your eyes are level with your ears; use that as a guide next time, and try to take a closer look at facial anatomy.

I really like that outfit, though. Especially the cut-out shape on the bottom in the back of it. Very classy.

*turns brightness up to 100%*

Ahh....there! Heh. Na, really, It's neat!

Some people have been saying the face looks wierd. To me, it just looks like it's an elfin-type face, looking downwards. *shrugs* But what do I know.

*wants a print of it*

Heh, it was fine until I compressed the layers...then everything went dark. -.-;

As for the face, yes, I DO know how they go together, but as cat pointed out, it is an elfin-like face (ie pointy ears etc) that is looking down, so less of the chin and more of the forehead is seen, and the ears tilt. Also, because the ears are pointy, they look taller than ours. the base of the ears is where they're meant to be (I did a university course on Life Drawing), it's just the tilt of the face (again).

I am pleased with the clothing as well...and the expression. I do admit that the face was messed up slightly while penning (I have an unsteady hand at the best of times), I did the best I could to clean it up again.

It looks like all he needs is a microphone to start belting out Jail House Rock...

Awesome job, I <3 the shading on the wings.

Ledi, I always like your artwork. I especially like this one because it's kind of dark...

That colouring is great! *ENVYENVYENVY* I cannot colour computer line-art at all. My flatscreen monitor sucks. I have to stand up and look down to see things light enough.
