Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

I don't travel. Only place I've been to outside the U.S. was Nassau, and I didn't really like it.
If you're just looking for a good time go to Orlando (FL) and go to one of the theme parks because there's a zillion. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, MGM. Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, Sea World, Blizzard Beach, Wet'n'Wild, just to name a few.

Oooh!
I know
one nice place.
Mammoth Cave. Located in central Kentucky, is the longest cave system in the world. I've been twice. Not only is the cave itself amazing, the surrounding areas are gorgeous. Particulary in autumn, the trees are gorgeous.
There are various different tours you can take inside the cave. The first time I went was a school field trip, so of course we went on the Historic tour. The natural entrance to the cave is just a gaping hole in the side of a hill. You could stand on top of the hill and have no idea there was a cave beneath you.
Natural Entrance
The Historic tour takes you through all the historically significant places in the cave. Places where mining took place, and places where people suffering from tuberculosis camped out hoping the cold air would cure them.
There's also the Frozen Niagara tour. Which requires a lot more walking, but is breathtaking. This is the tour where you get to see the most beautiful natural formations.
Frozen Niagara
It literally looks like a waterfall made of stone. That photo doesn't do it justice at all, it's gorgeous in person.
More Formations
The cave itself is mostly small passageways, but there are several large areas, as large as a theatre. There are also bottomless pits. And underground rivers. And bats. And scary fish with no eyes.
Also, the tour guides like to turn off the lights at at least one point in every tour. You don't know true darkness until you're 300 feet underground with no lights. Scary, but oh so fun.

Go to Ireland.
My personal favorite vacation spot.
It's the most amazing place in the world.
I LOVE the people there, no joke. I'm going there next fall, just going to stay in a youth hostile and take the trains everywhere.
Great, great, place, and if you do it right, not so expensive.
Though, I may change my mind. Going to australia this winter (north american).
W00t!

I want to go back to Atlanta, ride the MARTA train to downtown and go to Underground Atlanta again! That was so cool.
Or, out of country, I'd like to go to Canada. Montreal or Quebec.

Barcelona, but if you're in the Gothic Quarter particularly be prepared for it to be a little rough.
The lake district in England (in Cumbria, my county) is ridiculously popular with tourists. Having lived here all my life, I can't really see why. I mean, I can see some attraction, and some places are beautiful, but it's so....dull. Americans love it though. They like my town because it's 'quaint'. MEH.
Budapest, the capital of Hungary is actually really nice. There's traditional markets, plenty of tourist crap, and modern shops. They have swimming pools where the water comes from hot springs which are pretty durn lovely.

Sunny Ft. Myers, Florida!
Now that's a pretty sight.
There are nice beaches too, though they may have been wiped out by the hurricaines.

Paris was so great when I went there. But what I loved as much as the city itself was Senlis, which is a town outside of Paris. It's not a suburb yet, and thus it still has the town feel. I also loved Chateau Chantilly and its gardens; they were so peaceful.
I also loved San Fran, especially the road with I think the most turns in the world. That was so great. xD Oh, and D.C. as well.
Next week I'll be adding NYC to the list of my favorite places.

How very strange it is then that your IP places you in the US.

Wales is a superb place to go on holiday (vacation). Me and my family go there almost every year for a holiday, and if we don't, then we at least go there for a few day trips. One of the places I've fell in love with is a little town called Fishguard, in Pembrokeshire. It's right by the sea in south west Wales and it's great!
I've not been many places as my family isn't really into travelling. But we are going to America for my 21st birthday in 2007 and me and my friend are arranging to go to Japan in 2006. I'm still very happy to go sight-seeing in Wales though
Heh, we went there last October and it was pouring with rain. We all foolishly went out in it and got caught in a torrential rain-storm and we came across these Germans also walking. My mom foolishly said "Welcome to England!"
*pokes mom*
"We're in Wales, Mom..."

You're lucky, LA weather is usually so PMSy.

Waaaay too sunny for my tastes, probably because I've lived here all of my life.
I personally love New York City and London. Eeee.
