my response as one of about a dozen people who can truly claim full ancestory to britain (my ancestors were part of the brits tribe, most were wiped out but some escaped to spain)
i say this; you want your damn stones, come and get them!
and no the egyptians arent aliens, the gods are (or atleast the aliens (the gua'ald) intimidated them) they ordered the construction of the pyramids to serve as landing ports for their ships (errr...i forget the class names offhand)

Er yeah, that.

It's been forever since I've seen the movie.
And why are we all getting so worked up about some rocks? I think we need to find out more about them before we pick them up and move them in case someone is wrong. I'm not saying that the British government
should move them, but if they were going to...

Basic Gou'ald pyramid ships are called Ha'Tak.

ah, no the larger ones are the he'tak's (then we have the 'Mutha' ships, the biggens, used by apophis...for a few episodes until it was destroyed, and the two used by anubis)
edit: anyway what does it matter if its welsh stone?
half of bleeding egypt isnt even from that continent, and the other half is in one of two museums in london anyway.

If Wales gets these stones back then I demand that all those Chinese artifacts that were taken from China during the Opium War be returned immediatly. *ahem*

Probably should be returned anyway...

and i wouldnt mind the arc of the covenant to be returned either, just to prove it doesnt have no jesus rubbish in it.

The Ark of the Covenant belongs in Israel, namely Jerusalem. But I don't remember where it's at now.

No! It doesn't belong to Wales. Besides, I think it should stay where it is. What's the point of picking it up and taking it somewhere else? Leave it. I'm neither a hippie nor a druid.
Edit: Okay, maybe it does belong to Wales. I'm kind of torn, because I'm part Welsh and part English (I'm kind of, well, arguing with myself). But, I don't think Stonehenge should be moved. I do think they should give Stonehenge and some of the land surrounding it to Wales, however. Mind you, this really spoiled the mystery surrounding Stonehenge for me.

It does belonds to Wales. For a long time, we've been screwed over by the English and it's time to claim what's rightfully ours.

I didnt realise you were Welsh, Jill?
And I suggest you watch your tone. You know the feelings about political discussion.

It'd be worthless to move it to Wales. Stonehenge has stood in that location for probably more than a thousand years. All the English I think have to do is say that Stongehenge belongs to the Welsh, and they acknowledge that. The Welsh can do whatever they want with it.

Welsh descent Jimothy. I'm of Irish/Scottish/Welsh descent. I asked me grandpa the other day about our Celtic origins and he said many of our family members came from those three countries. I'll watch my tone about the English...**grumbles**

Heh, can anyone say "party at stonehenge tonight?"
Sun Jun 27, 2004 7:42 pm
I say leave them. It's a piece of history for that area, and that's what matters, not where the stones came from. Besides, even with modern technology we can't be sure that it'll be the same as it was, you know, actually Stonehenge and not a pile of large rocks. If Wales wants it they can claim right to it, but they shouldn't be moved.
I'm not Druid nor hippy, but I do find them interesting.
