You will not need Canadian money. You just go to a regular store and ask them to convert the money to Canadian money, if you want to. You can still use USA money.

You should be ok with your band uniforms, but the basoon fighting won't work. Yeah, you can buy a day pass for rides and it is probably $20, but that may already be covered since you are allowed in the park. Also when you are at the park make sure you buy a funnel cake. They are too die for!

I don't know about Toronto, but there are beavers in Ontario.

As Ahoteinrun said already, as well as Ammer, USD is not legal tender is Canada, stores wont accept it because it's useless here. At Wonderland, however, there may be currency convertors.

And there are Beavers in Ontario, yes, in Brampton as well. Have you ever been to Fletchers Creek? That whole forested area has tonnes of beavers. Professor's Lake, the forest areas in the hills across of chingousey(sp). PLENTY.

As well, the forests surrounding Wonderland has beavers. You just need to look to find them.

You really need to look up stuff about Brampton man, might as well know the city if you live here.

Ok, stuff for hotel, buy funnel cake, and more about beavers. Why do beavers specifically hate green? Just about every plant has some green color in it...do they think you're a tree when you're wearing green?

Also, I've heard that all of the places we're going will accept USD, or at least convert it. So I should be fine.

Tourist places like Canada's Wonderland have currency conversion but if you guys are let loose upon somewhere in the Toronto downtown core, you'll have trouble converting except at certain intersections (bloor/yonge or front street) so try to have about 10$ in cash just for small things like pop or chips or something.

Don't be so sure about the weather in may, we might be having a late winter.. It's still snowing in Toronto right now. (Not this exact second, but last night, the night before, etc) Worry about the weather closer to the event.

I know we won't be let loose into the city. Too many of us would get lost. I know we're going to see the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, we're going to Canada's Wonderland, we're going to the Hard Rock Cafe in Toronto, and that's all I can think of right now.

About the USD issue- some stores in Canada accept it, but not all. However, they come up with their own conversion rates, pretty much all of which they would benefit from. Just look for the "We accept American money" signs with the little changeable numbers on them beside counters. They're generally found in convenience stores and such (at least in BC...), so don't expect them everywhere. Go for it if you have to, but try to stick with our not-so-green-except-the-twenty currency instead. :D

personally i'd change some money over. you can always change it back when you get home.
