Ooh. It's pretty. :D See all the pretty presents? They can be yours if you vote for me. Yet, none of you know me. T_T How sad. There's no way to get the pretty presents then. :(

Probably my favorite play in the world.

I like the Brian Hooker translation, which also seems to be the most common one (in school & out), at least in the U.S.

I studied it last year. Awesome play.

Then I watched Depardieu's version(by the by... huge schnoz on that guy). Not too shabby. I think this is a piece meant for the stage and is where it is most effective. That being said, I do want to see Steve Martin's Roxanne, just to see how it compares.

Depardieu's nose is fabulous. Stuff Nicole Kidman in The Hours, THERE'S a prosthetic!

I read it for school last year and I quite liked it. I could've sold the book at the end of the school year but I went and kept it. There were some parts that just cracked me up . So clever and witty. The ending was kind of sad though.

So did you talk about the real Cyrano either?

The part that amused me most was the nose part with Valvert :battar:

Yeah, I just read it for English class. It's not anywhere near as good as Macbeth, but it's one fine play, all the same. The popular image of the play seems to ignore a main aspect - his compromise-disdaining, flatter-no-one bravado. Best part of him, too.

As for the real Cyrano... his writing is really dull. Pity.

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.
