I enjoy giving constructive criticism, but never here. People take it as a personal attack, and I really don't want people to think I'm a "horrible mean monster" just because I made a few suggestions on anatomy or something. I'll venture back in to the boards and try to do some C&C again, but nearly every time I've tried in the past, the artist or other posters have gone in to attack mode.
I, personally, don't post my art here as often as I used to, because I was not impressed with 50 people saying, "Wow! It's so cute!". Those words are very empty to me. It makes me feel 'cheap' when I see that every single picture has the same comments on it. So now I just show my art to people who will tell me what I need to improve.
As long as you're positive when critiqing and you genuinely want to help, I see nothing wrong with critiquing someone's art. Just point out what you like and what should be worked on.
