I still prefer the older Green Day music to this newfangled stuff =P

Oddly enough, a couple of years ago, I could mention Green Day, and a very large percentage of the people around that were under age 16 would be like "Who are Green Day?" and I'd do a facepalm.
And now some of these people rock out to American Idiot and act like they've been fans forever. Ugh.

Yeesh, you call me a music snob my dear!
And you're ugh-ing at a new generation of fans.

I'm not a Green Day fan at all, but if I were I wouldn't be sneering at people who've got to know American Idiot and become fans of the band, even if they haven't been fans for years.

Um... well, since the Green Day album is probably the /only/ Green Day album they know, of course they'll think they're the biggest fan ever. >_<

At the end of the day- so what?

I said before, I don't like Green Day, and I really don't like American Idiot. But fans are fans. What's the big deal?
