The doctor gives you 3 pills and instructs you to take one every half-hour. How long before the pills are gone?

One hour

You're in a room with four windows. All of the windows face south. A bear walks by one of the windows. What colour is the bear?

Presuming all the windows are on different walls, white.

There are 8 apples. Take away 2 apples. How many apples do you have?

Two

Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.

The answer to the riddle is Language. The answer to the question (What is the third word that ends in GRY) is anhungry, a word originally used by Shakespeare and adopted into the English language.

There are ten candles burning. The window is open, and one blows out. During the course of an hour or so (not relevant), two more blow out. I shut the window so that no more candles can blow out. At the end of the day, how many candles are left?

There are ten candles, they're just not all burning.

<hr>

And some of my favourite riddles:

Next to you are two buckets of water, both identical in size, containing the same amount of water. One of the buckets of water is at 20 degrees Celsius. The other is at 20 degrees farenheit. If ou put an identical marble into each bucket, in which bucket does it hit the bottom first.

A woman has four distinct books. (Distinct meaning that they only have one genre) All but three of them are horror. All but three of them are crime. All but three of them are cookery. All but three of them are gardening. How many books does she have?

A rabbit gets caught down a 30m well. Each day it can climb 3m, but will then fall down 2m. How many days will it take to reach the top, presuming the rabbit doesn't die?

If you pass the person in second place during a race, then what place are you in?
Second place.
How much smoke does an electric train create?
It's ELECTRIC.
How much dirt is in a hole?
None, it's a hole.
A man says to someone,"everything I say is a lie." Is he lying or telling the truth?
He is telling a lie, if he says everything lies, this would be a lie.
A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys. How can this be possible?
One has to be a transexual, I guess.
What goes in a toaster?
Toaster Strudel

---------------------------------------------------------------------

What keeps on coming, but never stays?

I appear twice in a moment and once in a minute, what am I?

I sleep very sound and I never awake, what am I?

Water freezes at 32 F. The water in one bucket is frozen, thus it won't hit the bottom at all, or at least not until the water melts. It'll hit bottom in the Celsius bucket first.

Four?

30 days

BTW, my questions have all been answered correctly.

Depending on the size, none, or seven.

Both of those answers are wrong. And these are... um... burn-for-one-day candles. XD

3! :D

4. "All but three" means one out of four.

28 days. On the 28th day it climbs 3 metres and gets out safely.

That is correct.

---

(For these two, shoo Alex. :P)

Pronounced as one letter,
And written with three,
Two letters there are,
And two only in me.
I'm double, I'm single,
I'm black, blue, and gray,
I'm read from both ends,
And the same either way.
What am I?

I'm where yesterday follows today, and tomorrow's in the middle. What am I?

I don't think it i one (though I don't know the correct answer either). "One" doesn't fit many of the criteria listed.
