It's strange, isn't it?

Ugh I always do that. I sit there reading typing something or reading something or thinking something and say to myself, "Somewhere out there, someone else is thinking the exact same thing as me."

I believe we all have a twin that shares your thoughts. Maybe not even on this planet, but there is. O_O

I believe the same exact thing, AFI. But two Dylans?! Oi.

Nah, humans got 70 maybe a 100 something years left before our society crumbles and/or we destroy ourselves. Isn't it sad to think though, humans gone, what you do now, never really mattered at all. No-one will ever know of you or your fellow human bretherin no creatures no nothing, kinda weird isn't it.
Imagine a mysterious beam blazing through the cosmos and suddenly striking Earth, the world is over humans are extict, you panic but why should you as you see a wall of fire and earth coming towards you.

Then I also tell my brain to shutup and just think of how God wouldn't let that happen.

Iiiiyyyyeeee! *covers eyes with hands* I am a realist, to some extent, but at times I really find it necessary to be an optimist. Otherwise, why even bother, you know? There has to be a reason for today and a hope for a tomorrow.

You're right. Think about it! 100 years later we can't be hyperactive because we're gone! :O

Frankly, "what's the point of life" questions have never fazed me. I see life as a period of time in which we try to enjoy as much and achieve as much as possible, and also be a blessing to others. It's just like your parents giving you two hours in a playground for you to play as much as you want.

I just realized that about a month ago, but "what's the point of life?" questions are still fun. I mostly think about why everything else exists, like grass and trees and rocks. And a lot of times, without realizing it, I'll start thinking like I'm putting everything I do down in a diary. And then I'll start thinking about if people can read my mind.

Does anyone ever think "Wow, I can't believe I'm me!" or "I can't believe I'm seeing/doing/thinking this"?

I also think "What are thoughts?". Hmm.

It was in science when the question 'what is the point of life, what is the meaning of life?' popped up. My science teacher, being the funny person he was, told us all the true reason for our existance: to pass on our genes to the next generation and keep humankind going. none of this destiny mumbo jumbo.

He never was a very optimistic bloke.

This makes me wonder though, do any of you believe in fate, or do you believe you make your own life choices?

I mean, I've had a couple of run-ins with death, the scariest of which happened only a few months ago. I was playing handball with a golf ball whilst waiting for this laser tag place to open. The ball went on the road. I went for the ball. A truck came past, 2cm away from my head. I literally felt the slipstream. Naturally, I made a variety of rude gestures and the driver did the same. But anyway, it made me think- maybe I have a purpose in life. Maybe I'm meant to do something great. Otherwise, why didn't I die just then?

Also, I'm always thinking that everyone else is not human, that I'm the only one who can feel what I feel, and that everything else is an orchestrated performance for me, as if I'm some kind of test dummy for reality. I mean, for all I know, the world may consist of just where I live, and everyone I talk to is like a robot. Then I slap myself in the head and think 'Michal, the heck are you thinking?' :P

I would be more straightforward but I'm afaid that if I describe what my teacher said exactly, it may get me banned 0:)

Am I being mocked by Anubis? *drops cheese on you*

Anyway, yeah, I'm not gonna spamishify this topic anymore. It seems that wherever I go, the topics seem to drift away from their intended course and *rambing on*

Woah, just a weird moment right there. Like the one Ginger described in the first post. I just thought about time and why the heck I'm wasting it dropping cheese on people.

I believe that some things are fated to happen... but a lot of things just make no bloody sense at all. o.O

Have any of you ever gotten a feeling of total awareness? Of getting a flash of something, like what someone else is doing? That happens to me quite a bit... and often the person in question's doing something really, really boring and trivial like wiping their butt or putting on a sock or just generally going through the motions of living.

It's a really depressing sight.
