Didn't win at the fruit stand, but I got something almost as good. I think this is probably the best RE I have ever had. I put it in my shop for 73k! Now all I need to get is a Paint Brush and I will have acheived the RE trifecta: Nerkmid, Transmogrification Potion, and Paint Brush. I hope I get one soon!

[EDIT] I could have sworn that Image Shack said that it was less than 500 px. I really tried to make it small this time. It just is hard for me to realize when it will stretch people's screen because on my computer, the image only took up about a quarter of the width of the screen. I'm sorry.

Erm sorry about my image sizes, but something just dawned on me. I think most of us are not flaunting the rules, disregarding them, or anything like that. What we are doing is taking screenshots that are less than the width of the Neopets page. That is probably why it doesn't occur to us to check our image size before posting. It probably would be a good idea to mention that the message space here is considerably less and that adding even a half-width of a Neopets page is too much.

Every time I saw an image had been removed, I just automatically assumed it was one of those giant BMP pictures that's, well, giant. Quite honestly, visually, my pictures didn't seem any bigger than what I saw here already, plus they were just portions of a Neopets page -thus no alarm bells went off in my head.

The 500 pixel maximum is a bit small. Most screenies are more than that, even if you cut off all irrelevant info. A limit of 600 or 700 would be much better. Then only those insanely large bmps would be blocked

Anything over 500 (give or take a few pixels) will stretch screens. And thats a bad thing. The 500 pixel limit on width will stay. If you want to post a large screenie, simply post it in a link, or shrink/crop it.

Actually most people run at 800x600 resolution, so 500px is quite fair for everyone. I was just trying to point out that most of us are not realizing that half a Neopets page stuck inside the tables of any forum is too wide. Most of us take screenies for display on petpages where width doesn't matter, but here it does so we need to either shrink them or just post the link. 700px would be huge for most people, and nobody enjoys scrolling side to side

Since most people don't really know much about saving images for the web, and most of us are just taking what we *think* are small screenies, we're just not realizing that it's fine for a pet page, but too wide for a forum. That's all I was trying to point out, not start a movement, heh. I run another forum, and it's really a waste of time and absolutely no fun to have to keep poking at peoples huge avatars, siggys, images, and run-on text.

So here's another tiny screenie. This is a neomail from someone who pestered me for two days asking for free items. Surprisingly, they had a birthday, a death in the family, and some other various tragedies during this period, and finally convinced me to give them something




Sad to say, they asked me a couple hours later why I hadn't sent it yet

A few days ago I was talking to a friend who always get odd neomails, and I stated that I never got strange neomails. Famous last words?
