Venom to the Relic

May your bones lie in God’s grandest keep
Through ages gone by and those yet to come
Though over your ashes, the relic must weep
All men must go back to where they came from
And while all men’s bodies must forever sleep
Paradise takes the darkest fear out of some
In cold earth below, where soulless worms creep
Protects the frail mind from bitter venom
Whether are right, and it may be wrong
Solemn conviction keeps the mind at peace
And forms in the heart a new, winsome song
Consider yourself a man only on lease
And believe that life’s never quite gone
Even after that last breath doth cease

Hmmm, well, i didn't really mean forr it to be dark, but i suppose that the middle portion does convey that idea.
