PS2 loses in the graphics department and both of them lose in the games department. Metroid Prime and RE4 PWN all.

I can't wait for X360's launch.... I'm not getting it (well not on release anyway) but i wanna see more on the software front, which is a bit thin at the moment but should improve with the numbers of developers already on board. Then there is how they have improved XBL (MMORPG's if possible please).
Plus there is the one year gap that they have given the competition.

At the end of the day I'm not gonna shell out till i have a good idea of what Sony's PS3 offers... and Nintendo well....

X-Box beats both consoles graphic wise and Nintendo loses in the games department. Final Fantasy, Halo, Need For Speed, Grand Theft Auto have beaten Nintendo's games before. Metroid Prime and RE4 have lost to Halo and Grand Theft Auto.

It's really all about opinion. Maybe sales and review scores too.

I could debate with you all day over this. Metroid Prime is the single most immersive game ever and in my opinion, the greatest game of all time. And RE4 doesn't really need to defend itself. The chainsaw guy does that for it. As far as REALLY good RPG's GCN has,

And as far as GTA goes, well, I'd rather stay FAR away from that pile a perverted garbage.

Now, once again, let's get back on topic. Seriously, I was not impressed AT ALL with the Xbox360. All the Xbots went on and on this past generation about how graphics mattered and how they were getting the best versions of multi-console games. Now they have to eat those words.

^ oh come on GTA is AWESOME.

But as a general response to what everyones been saying....

Stop being so Anti halo, its a game with AWESOME gameplay and, in my veiw (obviously), a great multiplayer game. There are other good games out there, alot like Halo 2, but the ability to draw me back to the game over and over is what makes me love halo so much. Me and my freinds used to organise 12 player Lans at eachothers houses on the original halo and it was AWESOME! There are somethings not great about halo but others than make it a great game. Halo 3 will pwn (but it may not be bungies next game)

With ps3 and xbox, I dont think either will beat down the other. Neither has the money or capability to do that sort of thing unless they really do something revolutionary which Xbox 360 evidently hasn't. Ps3 probably wong they just want to make money. But nintendo is a whole other thing.

I've never owned a nintendo console (well I owned a gameboy once), just to say, but I love nintento. They dont do everything for the money, but are more of a introducing new concepts sort of brand. But at the moment nintendo are trying to change who plays the game, and playing around with things that we shouldn't have yet. Whatever they bring out its probably going to be alot more worth it than Xbox and Ps3.

But because they are too slow, it may be awesome but casual gamers wont want to buy a new console so soon after buying a new xbox/playstation, so Nintendo probably wont do to great this generation.

But i'd like to be able to ave 6.1 surround sound plugs INTO my xbox. ^.^

I'llo buy both again, but my ps2 sits gathering dust at the moment.

Obviously rbpmn is incredibly biased towards nintendo and isn't going to argue favourably for another console....

I played metroid prime recently and to me it was just a bog-standard fps, nothing that hasn't been done before and better.

Personally, I'm not bothered about which console is the best, and anyone who is is a fool, really. Do you make $200,000,000 if the ps2 is the best console? Do you lose market supremacy if your console hasn't got the fastest processor? Having a ps2 doesn't make you sony and doesn't give you any of their success. I intend to buy the console that offers the best gaming experience and that isnt £400. I'm not aligning myself to sony or any of the others just because.

Will it be able to play Xbox games? THE NAME SUCKS (if I get kicked off the site for typing that bye) but honestly it does.

Of course it will, they've already officially say that. And I agree, the name sucks.

MP is a love it or hate it game. Personally, I love it. And BTW, I own a PS2 and enjoy some of the games on it very much (Tekken 5, Kingdom Hearts, Burnout 3). It's just that I love Nintendo a whole lot more. AND JUST BECAUSE I HAVE A PS2 BEING BLOWN UP IN MY SIG DOESN'T MEAN I HATE THE PS2!

I understand that GTA is fun but I would rather play a game with less cursing, sex, and UNNECESSARY violence (I.E. Mercenaries.) It really does sicken me to think that people have fun with GTA.
