Snails and slugs. More snails then slugs, though... because their necks stretch out. o_o It's not their slime that's the problem, but their heads. Their icky lil' alien heads that are so weird and scary and urgh, get them away from me. >_<

They aren't from Earth, I tell ye. o_o

No mate Heamophilia is where the blood doesn't clot and so you just carry on bleeding. Hemophobia, Hemaphobia or Hematophobia are apparently the names for fear of blood.

Im afraid of feet.

I have no uber-irrational fears.

Except perhaps mayonnaise.

But I have semi-obsessive behaviour when it comes to doors being shut properly.

I have no phobias, at least none that I know of yet. I am quite surprised that so many people have phobias, I thought they were some sort of disorders which only affected small amounts of people. o_0

Are you sure they are real phobias rather than just normal fears? Real phobias are more intense than ordinary fear.

Everyone has a phobia of some kind. It might be a disorder but it's a disirder that affects everybody in some part of their life. There might be times when you don't have that phobia anymore but then most likely, that phobia will eventually come back or you will get another phobia.

Umm, no, I think not. Any evidence for this?

I figure my thing with slugs is more than just fear. I have a fear of spiders, if I see one I jump up off the floor until my boyfriend has diposed of it in a spider-friendly manner. With slugs though it's like a total revulsion and they can't even move fast. It's totally irrational - spiders creep a lot of people out and they move fast which can spook you. But really, what can a slug do?

We had one in our kitchen not long after we moved in and I wouldn't come out of the bedroom until it had been removed and the floor cleaned. I was still a bit panicky in the kitchen for about a week after. When I was back at my mums when I was at school I almost missed the bus as I refused to jump over the slug that was outside the back door, heh. When I was much younger though I didn't mind them at all. I don't know what changed that, old age perhaps, heh.

I don't hate slugs, I don't like to see them killed or anything just like spiders. But the way they look and move, erk. Pictures are fine (unlike with spiders funnily enough), snails oddly are also fine. I think it's a phobia but it is probably a beatable one - I'm just not motivated to want to like slugs enough to go near one to try :/ It will probably wear off I hope seeing as it never used to be a problem.

The celery thing I don't know, it started as a real hate for the taste and smell but now the sight of it physically turns my stomach. I think it's maybe just protecting my taste buds though :) I have a few other fears but slugs is the only one that's completely irrational and just makes no sense really.

(Erk, apologies for the long post - I ramble too much :/ )

And my phobia of cobwebs, that is a phobia. When I see a cobweb I feel like I can feel the cobweb over my skin. It makes me shake and I just feel so horrible like it's all over me. If there's a cobweb blocking a path through a forest, there has been occasions, my heart thuds in my chest. I'll have to get my dad to pick me up on his shoulders so I don't have to touch it or I'll have to scratch myself to pieces by going through the undergrowth instead. I'll do anything to get away from a cobweb. That is also why I have a big fear of spiders. Not the spider itself but the web it creates.

Fear of the number thirty-five. It started between one and two years ago, natch.

EDIT: But no, it's not a proper phobia.

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

I have a phobia of performing in public, though that's not really all that "strange". I'm fine in an ensemble, but put me on piano or give me a band solo and I'll freak.

I can play it fine, but it doesn't mean I'll like it.

Gone, forever.
