Yukio has offered to host PPT Secrets on the main pinkpt.com site, so that everyone who visits the PPT help site will be able to view the secrets, instead of just people who post here.

I wanted to know how you all felt about this before doing anything. After all, these are your secrets. Please vote and post what you think of Yukio's proposal.

I think it sounds like a cool idea. The secrets are very well done and members obviously put time into them. My only concern is that some of the secrets are about issues that might not be the best one click off the main page of a virtual pet help site.

I also agree with this. There should probably be like a warning page that you click to first, then all the secrets, that way it's not a direct one-click from the homepage.

I think people post the secrets so they can get things out in the open and find people with the same problems... These secrets are probably very personally to people and it probably takes a lot of the person to send them in. I think all the magic in that is lost if strangers can just come by and see everything. I know I'd feel that way if I had a secret there.

I think it should stay on the forums, because it helps us be more "together" as a community. Putting it on the main site just makes it more available to the public, and less of an... exclusive thing.

I agree. Although, I think maybe in a few months time we could make it go public. Not for now though.

How about making the site only available to ppt members? That way we will not be so public, and we will not mess up the forum.

Wouldn't it just be easier to put them on the forum? o.o Most non-members just go to Help for Mystery Pic answers, anyway. 0.0

I dunno. If there is hundreds over secrets it will be difficult to keep them in one thread and it will be difficult to read them all if they are all over the forum.

How about just posting a link on that thread in the forum? We can still discuss about it in that thread.

I agree, people entered their secrets knowing they would be here on the forums for forum people to see. I think having it somewhere more public was maybe not what everyone intended. Although of course I suppose if it were to go public people could request that their secret be taken down.

It's been very interesting and enlightening to read as a member of these forums, I don't think it would mean so much if I just wandered upon it on a neopets fan site if you know what I mean

Yeah, they should most definitely stay on these forums. For the secrets with emails attached to em, people would be more likely to flame them and harass them if they were on the front page of PPT, where just about anyone could read those. Besides, I wouldn't want just anyone reading some of my secrets, and even though any one of you could be my gym teacher in reality, it feels a little more safer this way.

It feels, I don't know, more cozy on the forums. And would it be directly on the main page, or on a seperate link?

If it gets put on the main site won't you get people doing the mumba of thieved intellectual property?

I agree with o_0 in that this can really bring our community closer & that for the most part, it shouldn't be put on the mainsite as it's not exactly the content one would put on a fan site.

However, if there was a different area for stuff like that, then Im all for it.
