Today on the news I see a news repeating how some guy faked a video about people selling things-sacrificed-for-dead-people, I turn the channel and see a ghost movie, I turn again and see an old woman lying on the bed saying 'Did I kill her?' (I'm male, btw), I turn the channel to Animal Plannet and what do I see? A digital dog skeleton. This is scaring me. What scared me the most is twice I entered my room (alone), and I heard some sort of 'Woo woo', then I entered with someone (twice) and they heard nothing. Can anyone help me calm my nerves? :( :( :(

Edit: I saw those stuff on TV. Not in real life, no way.

Put on some music you know won't have references to death in it at all, or watch a cutesy movie. If that doesn't work, go for a hike or a jog to wear yourself out.

Wow, you turned on TV and saw references to death and violence?

I'll alert the media.

That's nothing mate, I went downtown on Sunday night and heard plenty of references to death and violence.

My town had run out of alcohol.

Death doesn't have to mean death. Death can mean change. Maybe there's a big change coming for you.

(says the girl that was born under the Death card.)

none of it matters until you see a wraith.
Then, youre in trouble. or seeing things.
(so says the guy who fell down a flight of stairs when he did)

besides, you shouldnt fear death, why fight that which you cannot possilby hope to defeat?

I once experienced an omen, so I can relate. My dad told us that he was going to the hospital to die and we all chuckled about it. He wasn't in the greatest of health, but we didn't think he was on death's door--by any means. He was 74 and had emphysema for years, but still seemed like he had a few years left in him. But, we took him to the hospital anyway. The doctors there said he didn't need to be there--but let him stay because he was insistent.

About 4 days into his stay, my ex-husband and I were woken up by an owl hooting this wailing sound in our backyard. The bird howled for several hours. We had never heard one before that night. The next morning, we went to the hospital and my dad had taken a huge turn for the worse. That night, the owl wailed again for hours. The next day, my dad was worse. The owl hooted two more nights and I swear to God, the day after that, my dad died. And, no more owl after that. We never heard an owl again the entire time we lived in that house. I told my sister-in-law about it and she freaked a bit. She told me that birds are a sign of death in Native American legends. And, I was probably chosen because I had been closer to my dad than anyone else living. Spooky, eh? But true.

So, try not to get too freaked out about what's happened because, if you think about it, there is really nothing you can do to prevent whatever from happening. And, it might not be a sign of bad things that are going to happen to you, but perhaps an alert that someone close to you is in trouble/danger. Or then again, it might nothing but coincidence. Strange, nonetheless.

Morningstar, that is incredibly freaky. INCREDIBLY. I was already getting a chill down my spine when i read it...and eating my breakfast at the same time.

CWisgood, perhaps programs like that are shown around that time? If you're really that worried about whatever you're worried about, i suggest sleep. Or turn on music.

Not exactly an omen, but I dreamt of my deceased grandmother once (Most chinese believe that the dead would visit you through dreams sometimes if the person misses you or somethign). She was sitting on my hi-fi and I got out of bed to hug her. Then I dreamt that someone got ran over by a car and died and when they put her on the stretcher, she disappeared.

I hope you're not having these kind of dreams too >_<

Yes, it kind of freaked me out, too. And, I would have thought it my imagination totally except my ex was right there next to me the entire time. And, until that time, he did not believe in anything of a supernatural nature. So, he was quite freaked out.

I, too, have had a dream about a deceased person. My sister died in a car accident when she was 17 (and I was 19) and the following year on her birthday, I had a very vivid dream about her. She smiled at me with these wonderfully perfect, white teeth and told me that "they" had fixed them. When she had been alive, she had really bad, yellow teeth because she had been given a lot of tetracycline as a kid. I know it sounds strange but it was such a comforting dream for me. Because I knew right then that she was OK.

So, perhaps your grandmother was just checking in to make sure you were OK? Or to let you hug her if you didn't get the chance while alive?

Right about now, some of you might be thinking I am a bit wacko. Well, perhaps. But, I do believe that sometimes, if you let it in (and lots of people don't), you can get feelings and such from people that you are really close to. I believe that there is much more to life than we humans know or will ever realize.

My aunt Eleanor gave my family a television for their wedding present. We were all gathered one night to watch it (we as in three aunts who had come from New York to visit). Suddenly, it just went all fuzzy. Everything was connected fine. We tried turning it on and off, but it wouldn't fix. Suddenly, the reception came back. It was in the "broken" state froom 7:25-7:30.

The next day, at 1 am, we got a phone call from my grandmother. My aunt Eleanor had died.

At 7:30 the night before.

Wow, that is freaky, o_0. If I hadn't had my "owl" incident, I would swear it was out of something like "The Twilight Zone." I think this sort of thing happens more often that we think; it is just that some people either don't, or refuse to, connect the dots.

Whoa, how weird. o_o

Evidently, the night my grandmother died... the next morning I told my dad she came to visit me, to say goodbye or something like that. o_o And that everything would be okay.

Personally, I don't remember it... but I was really young at the time. I can't even remember how old I was... *Shrug* :P
