Um.. I know this has been posted before. But I was restocking when I came across this ad:

http://gfx.dvlabs.com/klipmart/campaign ... 3467286460

Do you think its too inappropriate for kids?

Well, they did do the same thing on Rugrats. 0.0

Yeah, but what if kids follow the ad to the site? There might be other things like nudity on it?

Compared to the ad I saw screen-shotted on one user's petpage, that's nothing.

Arf, that made me snicker aloud, teehee.

I doubt it's that bad but I guess if it was a woman instead of a guy it would be considered pretty bad... clicking on it seems to get you nowhere though, ie the site doesn't exist, or more likely the ad has been set up really badly, but you could always send a thing to tnt saying your not sure if it is appropriate or not.

But stuff like that happens a lot in cartoons so I don't think it's bad really :)

Okay. I was just wondering.

Yeah, I know stuff like that happens in cartoons, but those are /cartoons/. Not /real/ people.

But anyway, thanks for the feedback. (:

It's inappropriate for me. I wouldn't want to see that on Neopets. However, it's really not a huge deal. There's no actual nudity shown or anything, and it's not at all sexual. It's simply really, really immature.

I think I heard this from somewhere, but I believe that the ads are actually posted based on your age group.

Like if you said you were 13 - 18 or whatever, they'll have different ads for you than the 8- 12 age group. Makes sense, like how kids are not allowed to talk on Neomail (unless with permission) and stuff. XD; At least they haven't created a permission form for kids who want the right to view 'adult' ads, if my theory is true.

I think some of the ads are inappropriate for any site.

chibi, I believe you are right, the ads are supposed to be by age. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be what's happening. Otherwise, younger people (unless they've really lied about their age) wouldn't be seeing some of the :o ads they have. As an adult who's seen a whole lot in my life, I can tell you some of those ads make me stop and wonder what the heck they were thinking.

Does Neo even get money from the 'shoot the monkey get the ipod' ads?

I'm guessing the company pays NEo a certain amount of money, depending on how many people click on the ads. Or it's just one flat fee for having them on the site.

Cosmo from the Fairly Oddparents did the same thing, too.

Yeah.. I don't really think it's inappropriate. Maybe mildly disturbing.

The thing about a person doing it in a cartoon.. >> Is the fact that it's not a cartoon. o-0
