I did.. if only because some weirdo named Bangel sent me a PM. O_o;; I was rather confused at first, I hadn't thought I had any contact with a Bagel... of course, I found out that was wrong in the end as well...

I'm 1 day late... sorry, actually I need someone to handle the next task because I'll be in Ireland and didn't want a task to run for too long... *sends another PM crossing fingers*

Yeah! Thanks to .:Chronically Depressed:. who offered to help me with the game while I'm away...
Now, the results you've all been waiting for.

#1: Liars and Knights
B and C are Knights.
A and E are Knaves.
D and F are Liars.
The right potion is the yellow one.

#2: Squares
Here's my "short" solution.
Imagine to colour the lines alternatively black and white. You'll get 51 black lines and 50 white lines. So you need 101 black squares more than white squares.
Now, if you put a 2x2 squares on this grid, it will be half-black and half-white.
If you put a 3x3 square on the grid, it will have either 3 blacks and 6 whites, or 6 blacks and 3 whites.
So no matter how many squares you place, the difference between the number of black squares and white squares will always be a multiple of 3.
And since you need a difference of 101... the problem is impossible.

#3: Crossing bridges
Copy-pasting from shavynel's solution because I'm lazy.
The number corresponds to the number of minutes it takes for the poogle to cross the bridge:
1 and 2 leave first. (2 minutes past)
1 returns. (3 minutes past)
5 and 10 leave next. (13 minutes past)
2 returns. (15 minutes)
1 and 2 cross back over again. (17 minutes)

As for the results... Team 5 got all of them right in a surprisingly short time (they're scary, aren't them?).
Team 4 got #1 and #3 right.
Team 3 got #3 right.

Team 7 didn't send me any solution, and loses the task.

Task 9: Secret messages
Remember: send all your PMs to .:Chronically Depressed:. for this task.

Yes, there had to be one task devoted to them... they're funny to crack :P well, at least I think so.

What to do:
Decode as many messages as you can and PM .:Chronically Depressed:. the answer. Please try to send all of them in a single message, or 2 at most :P
Eliminations:
In the extraordinary case that every team sends an answer, the team with less messages cracked will get eliminated. In case of a tie, the first teams to send the answers will be saved.
Reward:
Every sentence you decode is worth 3 papayas.
Deadline:
Wednesday 22, 4 pm GMT (or whatever time suits CD best)

Sat Jun 18, 2005 9:05 pm

Wind, you said they were due by saturday at 4= now. Why did you end it early? *ish mad*

edit: or did I get my timezones confused. GMT= Gerernal Mountain Time, and GST = Greenwich standard time, right?

Sat Jun 18, 2005 11:12 pm

GMT is commonly referred to as Greenwich Mean Time :)

Sat Jun 18, 2005 11:16 pm

I don't remember anything of the sort. To me, it's just 8am, or rather, the night before because chances of me waking up before 8am ... well ... that's actually pretty high. But it's the night before. If that. O_o;;

Sat Jun 18, 2005 11:55 pm

bah. Shouldve checked on that. Oh well :(

Sun Jun 19, 2005 4:53 am

4 pm GMT will be fine now get decoding everyone! ^_^

Sun Jun 19, 2005 12:10 pm

Sorry clucky, GMT is Greenwich time... I'm sure I posted the answers 4 hours after the deadline.
CD, I'll send you next task as soon as possible, which is as soon as I write it  *starts packing*

Number 3 is hard. Crpyotgrams are had to solve when they are that short :P. Everything else was pretty easy though =)

Agreed. Though Shavynel did all of the ones we currently have (all except three), I don't think it too her too much effort, and we've both been looking far and wide for answers to them.
