Last night sucked. The fireworks at Wonderland and the Bay were OK.
But, when we left, we went to this other place (me and my friend, and another friend and her boyfriend, who is also my friend) and there was a bunch of stupid, rude 14-15 year olds going around shoving lit sparklers down peoples backs, and putting lit quarters on peoples shoes. :x

Speaking of Canada ahoteinrun, I was going to ask you something...

I've been reading that after the election, Alberta wanted to explode out of frustration and pull a Quebec. Is that a widely held consesus or is the media just being stupid and trying to pull a Don King again.

Actually...I do believe Lenne's from Victoria. That's ever farther west. :P

Heh, I kinda exploded in frustration with those election results. I'd elaborate, but no political discussions here. Oooh well.

You can't get dual citizenship unless one of your parents was born in Canada, you get married to a Canadian or if you go through naturalization which pretty much means renouncing your American citizenship.

So just settle for a student visa and be on your way :)

U of T also doesn't do early acceptances the way the US colleges do, at U of T an early acceptance would be around if not later than the February of your graduating year. They need to look at your Grade 12 marks as well as SAT's and all that junk.

Happy Canada Day (albeit late) everyone! I worked at a restaurant in Quebec City, all St-Jean Baptiste and Canada Day. In fact, I haven't even seen non-restaurant, regular people in nearly a month.

Anyway, hope you had fun.

Canada sucks!

Just kidding, I went to Vancouver last year and it was really pretty. It didn't feel as safe as the U.S but I loved the scenery :). It's a little late now, but happy Canada day! I'm partially Canadian (But I consider it American). Hope you guys had a great day! ^_^

No, no, no! Americans (and many other nationalities) don't need to lose their first citizenship to be Canadians! Lots of people get dual citizenship, but I think you have to be a landed immigrant first...so it takes a few years, and I don't know if you can get it just as a student. Anywho, good luck getting into U of T.

And...Happy Belated Canada Day! The fireworks were excellent, and I got the day off work. w00t!

Happy (belated) Canada Day.

I thought Canada was pretty cool (literally and non-literally. brrr, it was cold.) when I took a trip over there. Loved the scenery and everything.

Hey, speaking of the days countries get independence, The 4th of July is coming up too. :D

Yeah, I know what you mean. Its just not the same when every corner has some guy with a bunch of guns to make sure everything is safe...

Ever wonder why they don't base COPS in Canada? *hint* its not because its too cold for them to reach their weekly topless criminal quota.
