The animated version! I'll note, this does not belong in my Phantom of the Opera In Its Various Incarnations thread because I have not seen and therefore cannot rate the animated version.

However - I do have screeencaps! <3

I want to see this so bad now... It's very Leroux, well, except for the title character's appearance... a bit... um... "Look at me! I an Don Juan Triumph-- what do you MEAN, we don't have enough yellow paint?"

XP I like it. They even included his mask that can make him 'look like anybody'. Now I shall hound this version like an insane 13-year-old Phanatic.

Ooh! I'm addicted to everything Phantom wise. Plus I'm keen to experience Phantom-y things that are more true to the book, even though I love the musical. Erik in the book is so very fascinating... and tragic.

Hmm, Christine doesn't look as innocent as I'd like her in those pictures... Nor does Raoul look quite boyish enough. I like Raoul in the book, both him and Christine are very childlike and sweet, and of course the Phantom is the opposite.

Yay! The Persian! Plus Erik looks cool, and true to the book.

See your point about the yellow paint though... he's almost neon.

I love this rendition of our little-known Persian. He looks so darn evil and yet he's so darn good. Evil eyebrows and everything! All they missed was the curly moustache and Persian cat... he could be a James Bond villain...

Hey, I just realised! Persian cat!

:roflol:

I am easily amused. But I rather hope they include the 'African forest'... :D

I was referring to the tree in the book  I can't see it in those pics either.

Hahaha @ Pelvis. That's all he wants really. Forget Christine.
