Yeah, I was on the avatar chat on the neoboards and somebody posted about that. Wierd... Well, whatever it is (You guys say it's part of the Mickey D's promotion, but it could be more), it'll probably be for the "8 and under" group.

Or they could make it more sensible and be 10 and under. I don't see too many 10 and unders on the boards, and one 11 year old I know happens to be in the same guild as me. He's pretty serious too, but now I'm sidetracking. :/

I think it means they're focusing it more towards their "Jr." crowd (although it will always be available to everyone)

There has been a sudden surge of activity from McDonalds towards everything Neopian.

It wouldn't suprise me if there was a subliminal factor to Neopets Jr. from McDonalds. For example a kid might think, If I can feed my pet *blank* then it must be good for me.

I might be going OTT *simply because I detest fast food chains methods of marketing* but it's a thought.

I hope it's just to split the site into age groups rather then some marketing ploy aimed at little kids from (evil) McDonalds. It would be so awesome if it was, but I fear the latter all too much.

Hmmm... that would be pretty cool if they made that for the younger kids. Notice there is no chats, guilds, luck games, etc.

I was thinking that maybe it was to give people an idea of what neo is like before joining, but then- why would you have a link to items and such?

I don't know really...

I think this is nice for all newbies in general, not just little kids. It's quite helpful with showing you around, like how to see your Neopets, how to get to the games, and the feed your pet link has the food daily links.
