Damn. I liked him. His raps weren't all about sex like most of the raps today. Well. Some were, undoubtedly. But he had more of a sense of humor than lots of rap artists. Mockingbird was a touching song. And "Smurf Like That" is meant to get laughs. And it got them. From me, at least.

I don't like rap, but I think he was pretty good at it. He had personality.

Same for me. Except I like rap, and like John Reuben, KJ-52 and Manafest. Who all tell it like it is. :)

While I dislike rap, and dislike Eminem, it's nice to see him going out on his own terms and while he's still on top of the game. No one will ever be able to parallel him with Vanilla Ice who did the lovely crash and burn as he tried to milk his 15 minutes of fame a bit too long. He was successful with what he did, and he's leaving it when he wants to. Congratulations to him.

Or at the very least on VH1's "The Surreal Life."

Good bye and GOOD RIDDANCE! *evil cackle* I always said that Eminem's CD's altogether that have ever been made are only worth one M'n'M. ;)

At least he isn't pushing out new albums saying the same thing the last one said you know? Good luck to him in whatever he persues.

"Just Lose It" and "The Real Slim Shady" are equally stupid. They have the same "comedic dose" in it and it's no different from any of his singles (Which are meant to be comedic) from either of his albums.

Although, I do like "Just Lose It", I just don't think his material has changed at all.

Yup, it was just a rumor,

Quote:
LATEST: EMINEM insists he plans to continue with his rap career, despite reports he's set to hang up his microphone.

Last week (ends17JUL05), reports emerged in the rapper's hometown of Detroit, Michigan, quoting sources close to the star as saying he planned to bow out of performing following his current Anger Management Tour.

The WITHOUT ME rapper's show at Dublin, Ireland's Slane Castle on 17 September (05) was billed by some sources as his last ever live appearance.

But Eminem, real name MARSHALL MATHERS III, tells MTV News, "I'm not retiring. When I say I'm taking a break, I'm taking a break from my music to go in the studio and produce my other artists and put their albums out. That's called taking a break for me.

"When I know my next move, I'll tell everyone my next move. Not some reporter who writes a story about 'This is Eminem's last album'. I never said (ENCORE) was my last album. I never said anything yet. I don't know what I'm doing yet. Nothing is definite, you know what I'm sayin'? Nothing is written in stone.

"I know that I'm not gonna be rapping forever, I know that much. As long as I feel like I got the energy in me to do it, and the spirit, and I can do it, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna always make music, whether I'm just sittin' behind the boards and producing and making beats and puttin' my other artists out there, or if I do decide to do another tour or make another album. When I start doing that, people will know."

Aw darn, I had hoped that it was for real. :\ I'm really tired of those cheesy/stupid raps, and just as much with the angsty profanity-ridden other raps. Not to mention all the overplaying he gets on the radio.
