I like bringing this question up to people. When you're thirsty and just want to pour some good, cold, H2O down your throat, what comes to mind?

I prefer tap water. Though really, I suppose it would depend on which city I'm in. I love the water here, but if I were in a certain nearby place (which shall remain nameless.. southern Illinois) I would have to go with something different. I've tasted the tap water there, and it's not very good.
I generally don't like bottled water, it just tastes... flat compared to tap water. Or maybe that's just the plastic bottle, I dunno.
But worst of all is the filtered water from the refridgerator dispenser. It tastes awful. I don't know why. It's sort of funny actually. I'll get ice from the ice maker, and water from the sink. But then the ice melts into the water, and then I can't drink it.
And as for well water, I haven't had it, so I don't have a preference.

**has more interesting things to say, but wants to wait and see how people vote first**

Maybe the filters have gotten to old?

Personally I hate tap water. I wouldn't drink it if it were my only source.
I drink from the refrigerator dispenser. It's clean, and it comes with ice.
I also drink bottled water... But then refill it a couple times with water from the refrigerator.

And maybe it's just me, but all water taste the same... Unless it's from an ocean.

As far as i know NZ tap water is fine, and in the unlikely event that I run out of sprite and orange juice, I just drink tap water.

I'm not really all that worried about the commies tainting my precious fluids.

I really don't care. I usually drink orange juice, sometimes sprite, occasionally 7-Up, but when I do drink water it doesn't bother me...unless it's from one of those taps that says 'Not drinking water'.

Where I live, there is no difference between Bottled and Tap water, othern then that Bottled water tastes horrible if you don't keep it cold. So tap water is more low maintenance. :P

We don't have any 'wells' here.

And I like filtered water, it just tastes a bit odd.

When I need refreshement, I just get a glass out and cycle to the local pond.

In all seriousness, I prefer bottled water, but we don't have it in the house. THere's no point in buying bottled water when tap water's much cheaper, and more or less identical?

I don't have a refridgerator dispenser. Never had well water. Bottled water is disgusting.

Tap water, however, I like. ^_^

And Chass, tap water in Southern Illinois is very good! It's your southern water that's disgusting. ;)

You're pretty far north, almost in Central Illinois. There's a difference.

We have this big reverse osmosis filter thingie in the basement and it makes our tap water into a lot better water. I normally drink about six or seven glasses of water a day, it's really good water. The tap water around here is icky, I don't like it, I don't like any tap water really. I only drink our nice filtered water from home.

Well, there is no way in the world that I trust New Jersey water from the tap.
So I usually drink bottled or water from the big filter pitcher in my fridge.
