This happened milleniums ago but since everyone is talking about being frozen... I just wanted to say something:

I used to have an account but someone I knew found the password and sorta used it. Turns out he's been scamming/using cheats or something and TNT froze his account with mine (and I think another friend of mine too) because our account's been found used by his IP address.

Isn't that kinda silly though? If the account has been being used for months (even years) from one IP address and then it appears a couple of times on another how can you possibly freeze it? Or perhaps he used a cheat/scam with my account?

Just a random rant... I doubt i even remember the password to that account... But still. It just makes me go mad

I use my account on different computers, and different IP addresses, where at school, I know there are also many other people playing neo. Does that mean I could get frozen for that?

No but he was scamming/cheating on his computer

That really sucks, I wish there was a better system for freezing. There are just so many scammers and cheaters out there I guess they don't have the time or staff to look in depth at every case.
I worried for my own account for that reason a while back because I let one of my friends on my account to beat a final level for me in some game [NEVER DO THIS, I WAS BEING STUPID. YOU CAN LOSE YOUR ACCOUNT TO "HELPFUL" STRANGERS AND "FRIENDS" BY DOING THIS] but at the time I didn't think about the fact that he's been frozen multiple times for cheating on games... Luckily I never got caught up in that big mess. Sorry you did

Yet another of my accounts was frozen last night whilst waiting for hissies.

I think it was for saying the words some british slang which I can't even post here because in the US it must be very offensive, means "cigggarete, and begins with F and ends in G"...

I wish TNT would make a glossary of terms. Especially when I havent a clue anymore whats bad and whats not anymore... The rules are getting vauger! This comes after I complained about lack of monitors during the day GMT. I didn't mean I wanted them to start getting over tough.

I hardly chat in the boards because of this. Anything you say can be taken the wrong way...

Also I didn't get a warning or anything first... what happened to being warned?? This was on a new account. I won't touch the boards with my mains. I'd probably get iced for saying I was too hot. Like that flash animation T_T

They should demolish the boards. They're unfair and almost certainly get you falsely frozen.

If that's the word I think it is then it's very offensive in the UK as well and certainly not to be said on neopets Even in it's original meaning it's probably not wise to discuss something to do with smoking on neopets.

They do need clearer rules I agree but when it comes to offensive words they can't write a list of what you can't say, you just need to use your own discretion.

why do most ppl on the scoreboards for neoquest get freezed? and also strong pets, why do they get freezed?

There's a problem though, I would do that also, but what if someone takes it the wrong way and believes that you're using two accounts to cheat? When you're actually only using it to play on the safe side?

Well at the end of the day, if they did freeze my main account for that reason. They can consider me gone. I said, if it heppened again I would leave... I'm not into playing games for years and then getting punished for lack of brains in their side.

About the smoking thing. It was refering to someone else in the forum. If that was (which it wasn't) the reason to freeze. They would be frozen too.

The staff/freeze bot just saw a word. Didn't care what it meant, just froze. A warning like all the "adult topic" posters get (and they do just get that most of the time) would have been fair. But neopets isn't fair.

Ah Virtual, I'm sorry. Something's definitely up with the filters or the mods or both. I know someone who was just frozen for posting chain letters -- they didn't, they were trying to tell someone else who was to not do it. And the person who was posting the chains? nothing happened to them.

The word in question in your case, well, I would assume that isn't allowed and I am surprised the person who first typed it had nothing done.

Of course, there are times you can't type the word assume! Can't type bad as ... as in well, as bad as that seems. The filters "see" a bad word. Same if you were to type something like I'll see you in a bit, ok? -- it sees another word in the bit, ok part.

Yet I've seen people curse and nothing happens. I think there should be a list of words you shouldn't type. Word combinations would be very hard to do, but individual words I think should be doable.

I didn't know you could get frozen on first offence. 0_0 Guess I should be more careful then.

I do think some of the censors are ridiculous. How is 'suck' such a terrible word? Come on! My grandmother wouldn't take offense to me saying, for example, "This weather sucks."

How would that be cheating? A person is allowed to have up to 5 accounts. As long as you only "earn" nps on one of them. Chatting has nothing to do with earning nps. And, no where does it say you can only use the chatboards on your main account. I think having a throwaway account is pretty much the safest way to chat on the boards.

And, a list of offense words is a good idea. I got the blocking filter on my guild's board for saying "Neo error". So, I guess that you are not allowed to say that Neo made an error.

Getting to the point where I am pretty much afraid to write anything on Neo anymore. Mainly, because I am so used to being able to say most anything (within reason) here on PPT. I go on the guild's board and sometimes forget that I can't say the word "pass' when telling my guildmates that my daughter moved on to the next grade in school. Frustrating.

My account was frozen as was everyone (everyone I know) who used the same Virtual Cafe. It was quite sad. I believe that all the computers uses the same server for access so we all seem to have the same address.

It sucked royally.
