I received the nickname "Ammerjammer" from Grade 8 and actually used it when I first joined the forum. Once the forum crashed, I believe I shortened it to Ammer. I like it much better now.

Speculation Central - Thinking about the future... Today!

... Kinda a long story...

A year before the forum Crash and untill the 15th of this month I was called .:Chronically Depressed:. which came about when a person IMed me saying:
"WHY'RE YOU ALWAYS SO GOD DAMN HYPER?!?!?" and stuff like that to which I replied:
"I'm not... I'm Chronically Depressed."
Never heard from the person again. This made me highly amused therefor I added the .::. to make it look prettyfull and I had that name for ages...

Now... on my birthday I had gotten about my four millionth PM saying:
"ARE YOU REALLY DEPRESSED?!?!?! Dude..."
or
"You know you should really see a doctor blah blah blah."

Everytime I used to see the word CD in a post I used to have to read it in case it was refering to me.

Therefore in a chat with a couple of people I announced I was changing my name to .:Compact Disk:.

So then I PMed Jim and asked him to Chage it for me and now I'm named .:Compact Disk:.[/end long story]

I signed in to my account at 11:03 pm on Mon Jan 05, 2009. My last visit beforehand was Thu Dec 01, 2005 at 10:26 pm. Um....wow.

Decided to go with my Neopets name. I picked that one on a lark, as I was convinced the name "MyleneFarmer" (French pop star) would already be taken. I was wrong. But, I do rather like the name Mylene, so it's cool. Kind of wish I had went with just "Mylene" when I signed up for the new forums, but oh well.

The name Qanda was conceived in a flash of inspiration when I contemplated the oft-used phrase "Question And Answer", which more commonly used short form is "Q and A". Hence Qanda.

For the record, it is pronounced Canda, not Kuanda. And no, there's no imaginary u between the Q and the a.

I chose my username around when I joined. My brother had a friend on a forum called "Lord Anubis". I'm a girl, and thus, I shortened it to "Anubis".

It's kind of stuck, and I have never had any desire to change it, nor ever have.
