really?

er. last time I wrote it in japanese class, 右 was for "right"...I was under the impression that though the pronounciations were different, the meaning's often the same in japanese and chinese? hrm. maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like right and left wouldn't be switched. or am I not remembering correctly?

it's probably that I'm wrong. three months of summer has killed all my japanese

No, you're right. I often get the left and right in Chinese mixed up. Been doing that since I was, um, about 4 years old X.x

You must not have the foreign... letter... seeing... thing installed. If you don't have it, all you see is squares. I think you can install it but you need the disk for Windows or something like that (at least that's what it said the last few times we didn't have it) o.O
