Man, I love cheese! I really like Brie and Camembert, Edam and holey swiss cheese. I like those funny english types such as Gloucester and Leicester too (though apparently they are types of cheddar).

*is having some camembert right now* :D

I bet your house smells proper bad :P

I guess you could've said Camembert >.<

My favourite cheese is 5 counties cheese. Stripes of 5 different kinds. That's some good cheese for the cheese lover who can't make her mind up.

Also like a bit of brie in a bacon sandwich, but feel it's a bit too cultured for someone of my background ;)

Mmm, that would be my favourite right there. I can sit down and eat almost and entire lot of that with crackers while watching television. Yum.

That's not the point, it reeks. And makes everything else reek of it.

Mmm, I love brie (especially with turkey and cranberry in a sandwich/toasty), edam and gouda is great to snack on, emmental is gorgeous in bagguetes, feta, mozzarella... Most cheeses I like really except the blue stuff and plain orange/yellow cheeses except for doing cheese on toast. Cheeses with fruit in them are nice too =) Camembert is nice too, I've never had it or an eater of it smell though o_O

Although medium cheddar is my favorite overall (nothing better than to have 2 or 3 slices with any given meal), I really pretty much like cheese in general. I know in the past I have liked brie quite well, although the last time I had it it was quite gross. I don't know if it was the cheese or that the loaf of bread I used just didn't have a flavor that complimented it (the bread was pretty bad...and I usually love all varieties of bread).

I think the only "cheese" I don't like is American. For me, there is almost never a time nor place for that variety of cheese, it always just plain tastes disgusting to me. While I can sometimes tolerate it melted on a burger, there are occasions when I cannot. Like at my mother's. She apparently buys bargain basement American cheese, which is a bit redundant in the first place. It's got to be about the nastiest stuff in the world, which is sad, since her husband makes great burgers, but then ruins them with nasty American cheese. Or perhaps I'm just spoiled because I put cheddar on my burgers at home. Regardless, it makes eating burgers there a bit sad. Such yummy burgers (he often smokes them then grills 'em), such disgusting cheese. *sigh*

I'll pretty much eat any type of cheese that doesn't have rennet in it.

There are cheeses besides Cheddar? Since when?

j/k

American Cheese is fine, but it has its place - on a burger, and very little else. I'm a fan of Montery Jack and Colby Jack, and Gouda's nice every now and then.

I can't believe nobody's brought up Havarti. That's great stuff right there.
