Well sure, he's butt-ugly, but I'm happy he has caring owners in the end. He won't probably live for that long anymore and now he can live his last weeks/months/years happily. Ugly is only a human thing, not like the dog itself feels bad for looking like that :)

Um, whoa. It looks just like a zombie. It's... scary.

But, like Silja, I am glad that it has loving owners. Sam can live out the rest of his life in peace. :)

I've seen uglier. All of them with much lovlier personalities than the many trendy purebred toy breeds.

:o I can't stop laughing. I think it's expression in both pics is well... funny. I have disturbed humor. I am glad it's owner loves it so much. In that picture she looked very excessively happy with her baby. Sam is my new MSN pic.

Nope.

'Unfortunately, Sam is suffering from a number of age-related ailments (congestive heart failure, lung and kidney problems) and will probably make no more public appearances, so he may have to cede his "World's Ugliest Dog" crown in next year's competition.'

Dawn if you've seen uglier dogs; I want proof.
Theres a reason that sucker wins the ugliest dog contest.

If I had a dog like that, i'd be proud of it's looks. It takes a special kind of creature to have looks like that. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about having little kids go running and screaming away from my dogs... and having mothers shield their babies from my dogs looks. Thankfully.
And remember, these are only pictures. Who knows what it looks like when theres actuall depth. Still. He kinda grows on you... and I mean, it's really hard to stop looking at that picture...

Why, because he's hairless? I think we would be decent if he had some fur.
And get those teeth fixed.

To say nothing of those cataracts that make him look like a demon!

Seriously, in that second pic, it looks like he's crying out for souls.
