I'm exactly the same. I actually rest my pointer finger on the scroll when I'm not actually doing anything. I find it weird when I get a mouse that doesn't have a scroll.

Index Finger: On the left-click button

Ring Finger: On the right-click or right side of the mouse
Pinky: On the right side of the mouse

My mouse is really small, but I have a tablet, so I use the pen sometimes too.

Right now I'm using that, it has one button (you just click on the whole thing), no scroller etc. So yeah, I just keep my hand on top of it somehow :P

Pointer for the left button, middle for the scrolly wheel, ring for the right button. But now I'm on a laptop where there is no scrolly wheel and it's very easy to mix up the left and right buttons.

Do what you will; but I will hinder it if I may.

ha when I used one of those in school I couldn't work it :P. I was like I need to right click!!! haha. My professor told me that mac caved and has a version of a mouse with two buttons. He said Mac forever advertised and were so proud of their one button mouse "you can't click the wrong button" slogan or something as well. I thought that was interesting.

Anyhow I have the mouse with the scrolly wheel so I mine goes:

Pointer, or index finger: left button
Middle: wheel
ring: around the edge of the mouse, not on the actual right button. I can't tell what I use to right click, I think I may use my pointer, not sure. I've been trying to catch myself but I haven't been able to, I use my pointer but I think that maybe because I'm thinking about it and trying to see which finger I use..if that makes sense.

Argh see, now I'm using my pointer for the wheel and the left....x_X Maybe it just varies for me :P

I use my pointer finger for the scroll and the left clicker. I use my ring finger for the right clicker.

How do you get all the fancy right clicky features when you can't right click?

Heh. My pointer finger is on the scrolly, or just next to it on the left button most of the time. My middle finger resting either on the right of the right button. xD

Let me see,

Left Mouse Clicky-Thingy - Pointer Finger
Scroll Button Thingy - Middle Finger
Right Mouse Clicky-Thingy - Middle Finger

I didn't realise that till now, how interesting.
