Your quote reminds me of the new caption contest...

The chocolate ball is a yearly event that has always happened on the same date each year.

Sigh.. I've probably got about a quarter of my temple mapped, and I've found the first piece.

My pet appears to be a pile of sand now. Joy.

Aww don't worry the sandiness won't last long :) I got so frustrated with my map, it's so tedious, but just think you'll get an avatar if you complete the tablet..if your not an avatar collector then well..what to look forward to...oh i know...you'll get buried in a pile of scarabs, that's cool..right? lol

Just did a ss of the mostly empty Lost Desert map, is very weird! I wonder if the tomb will be put on the map ... and if other things will return anytime soon.

Any idea how long it lasts?

Or how long until I can go into the temple again... either works :P

When I got turned to sand it only lasted a few hours. You have to wait an hour to go back into the temple. Its 12 hours if you read a scroll though.

There's nothing here! Whatever you were looking for seems to have vanished with the rest of Sakhmet City!

yep, everything go bye-bye! There's a few people scurrying about, buying up desert petpets and anything else they can. Me? A) I can't afford to; B) I can't be bothered, and C) doesn't this happen alot with a plot/impending war? Something disappears for awhile then comes back? So Desert items may inflate - but I highly doubt it'll be long term inflation.

I'm just sitting back and watching all this. I needed a break from trying to find the dratted 8th tablet piece in that frustrating tomb!

Well, I finally finished my map, guess I've got quite a few days to go before I can catch up, I just hope they leave the puzzle up that long.

I just wish I would have visited today for my 1/660 chance of winning a PB. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait.
How I got odds: I've been playing Neopets for 1319 days, got 2 PBs from it so far, 2/1319 is ~1/660

What type of celebration was the princess going to announce?

I may have missed it in the comics somwhere, but don't have long to be online so I'm hoping someone here knows. Not that it means anything, just curious! ;)

I think the war part of this is going to start really soon - new plot is up!

supR, they don't say what the celebration is - at least not that I could see.

I'm watching a lot of people buy up stuff like Ummagines, Tchea Fruits and Baggus.. it's highly amusing really. XD

But, yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about the Fruit Machine vanishing. It'll come back..and if it doesn't.. they'll prolly replace it with something. Oo;
