I suggest you check the songs yourself by following the steps they took with a copy of the song, can't trust what's on the internet these days

In alot of cases, these are true but only on later copies of the album. My dad has a first ed. starway album and it doesn't do anything if you play it backwards.

Honestly, how can you know something like that for sure unless those who were involved with producing the song tell you you're correct?

I remember one time my friend played a song by iron maiden backwards and it was very creepy. I don't listen to them anyway, but she did. I'm pretty sure they say plenty of evil stuff forwards so it is no surprize to hear something backwards. Anyway, it freaked us both out when we heard the tape, because it had this weird creepy music. It made me feel sad and depressed to hear it. And it sounded like people burning in hell and like moaning and bats flying around. Then again, she could have just gotten hold of a halloween tape and played it to freak me out.

Obviously you can't, but you can use some common sense. And like I said, it's one of the most well-known examples of it, and hasn't been outright denied, though they did try and add a bit of mystery around it. They were fair bad at it though.

Both Weird Al and Roger Waters have said they intentionally put backwards messages in their songs, because they have such a diehard (albeit small) fanbase who would be the type to play songs backwards.

Actually with the beatles you can tell by looking at the cover, on Abbey Road Paul is barefoot, apparently that has some connection with death

While we're getting into 'Paul is Dead' discussion, I'd like to plug the most comprehensive guide I've ever seen on the subject. My favorites are the open hand above his head on Sgt. Pepper, and the flowers supposed to be spelling 'PAUL?' but look to me like a guitar.
