Hi guys,

Need a little help writing the history of PPT for the years 2004 and 2005... are there any notable events you guys can remember?

- I became admin near the end of March - Early April 2004 (I expect 10 pages on me )

- PPT and the forums exploded in May 2004, reopened May 30th


That's pretty much notable at the moment.

Other than me joining sometime in 2004, nothing much, really.

Janie and Bob left.
PPTbies took place (I think, we got all wonky with times).
Hunter was promoted to admin.
A ton of new boards were added and all the mods were laughing at the regular users who couldn't get to the forums.
The whole "OMG PPT HAS COOKIE GRABBERS!11!1!!!!" fiasco, that spread to about 15 Neo help sites *mutters*
Err. I know there's more, but I can't remember them at the moment.

New layout for the site?
Our bean bag left and arrow became bigger and better (not just a smilie )
LJ community ?
when did Pink Ink appear?...that's a big part of ppt

PPT got new categories like Sailormoon, harry potter and the others.

Erm... I joined on November 30th, 2002 and what Charisma said...
Also (Ergh, so long ago!):
The thing I remember is the different ranks, junior member etc.
The other usergroups (Mt. Olympus, how we miss thee, etc.)
I'll add more as I actually think harder ...

PPTbies 2003 started its award ceremonies in late January. The awards were finished in mid-March, I believe.

Many new mods in 2004, if I can remember them all...that would be iconoplast (who promptly became a GM about a month later), rageaholic (left the team), Matt, ScottNak, simsman24000 (left the team), Sapphire Faerie, Robin, ahoteinrun, robot, Rikku, Xela of Xandra, Jasujo, DiscordantNote, atomicblonde, Chanel, halfbakedbliss, and myself. I hope I didn't miss anyone, this was off the top of my head and looking at the forum. 11 of us in February, and 6 in September. Something like that. x_x

Pink Ink started somewhere in there. Or somewhere before.

Big forum crash in May 2004- led to about a month of downtime, the loss of the chatbox, ranks, subforums, many usergroups, and several mods who didn't come back (I specifically remember Nightcrawler/Magax, Pudding, and Alexa/Reverie, although she might've left before the crash and now I can't remember...), the beanbag, the streetlight-like "stars", and a fresh start on members again.

Board changes came promptly after the September mod apps. Marissa designed new wiggling stars, the boards were rearranged and new ones were made, everyone was assigned new posts...

Whoa...2004 is so long ago. o_o But 2005 has zoomed by (save for the shifting in GM-land of Chromey and myself), and I've just lost my short-term memory. :P

I remember a craze for Yoshi-made sets, with their wonderful transparent-text-with-glowing-outline effect... and the second wave of fruit sets too

And for specifics, the forum went boom on May 13th, 2004. I know this, because it was my 19th birthday >=O

June 2003! You became a mod at the same time as me.

Didn't WW start about this time here thanks to NPM? And don't forget the games between the Diva's and the Guys.
