I'm going to make a preliminary prediction as to the finished furniture:

Stand lamps: 170
Scroll racks: 740
Benches: 60
Tables: 30

That adds up to 1K, but I hope it's not the case because it'll be another day by the time the Benches and Tables gets to that amount. But it makes sense since they are rounded off. But who knows? I'm just speculating...

I don't think there is anything we can do in the meantime, since NO ONE on Neopets has found anything. Besides, if we were all that completely lost, I'd hope TNT would have the heart to slip us a hint via the fortune teller.

If it does equal 1000 items, then it will finish around 5PM NST. Maybe slightly sooner or later. I used mIRC to calculate how long it'd take

I just kinda think something is up with the way the fortune teller says "while the rest of Neopia watches a few Ruki build furniture."

It almost sounds like they are telling us we are totally wrong to sit here and watch 3 guys build a table...like something is brewing somewhere else...

That's ok. I just find something horribly wrong with putting the female symbol under an avatar of a male character. :lol:

As for the fortune teller, I think she may be hinting to us that we SHOULD be watching those Rukis. Think about it, she's been wrong directly but we've gone in the right direction thanks to what she's said.

I think she's just making a statement of how silly we must look to be watching Rukis make furniture from stone while Sakhmet is in peril in another dimension. But I still don't think there's a thing we can do about it.

If we are supposed to wait why would they take so long to build whats the point? Unless theyre giving people a chance to catch up

still waiting for ruki's to make furniture? i wonder if what the fortune teller is saying about them has any value, cause i have a feeling that there is something that we r supposed to be doing

Because, whoever came up with the timing system ratio didn't realise how long it would actually take. Besides, think of all the refreshes Neopets is getting! And, simply, they are probably behind in making things and puzzles for the plot, so this give them (and the people behind) time to catch up.

Oh, and 20 more to go if the 1K theory is right.
