Not sure if this has been mentioned or tried out? but this is from the neoboards:
On your way out if you double click on the smudgy ones they become a proper outline again! We all need to do some of these on our way out (AFTER placing your furniture) to help each other out!

My educated guess is that each item goes towards a point tally of some kind for a prize list similar to CoM. It would make sense as TNT did say that war wouldn't be the only way of earning them.

That's cool. Sounds like a good idea.
Edit: I tried clicking on a few smudgy ones - they didn't become solid. It must have been coinsidence for that person that it happened to become solid at the time they clicked on it.
And yes, after we place furniture, it gets stolen again. So we might be filling this place many times over. (And I tried clicking on furniture to steal it myself - would be quicker than going to the tent - but that doesn't work )
