That is absolute crap. Sorry to be blunt. Absolute, complete and utter crap. Chain freezings. *Growls*

Steven_munn is/was a very respectable neopet player. He was respectable in both the battledome and restocking. his restocks were manual (I've seen screenshots). Its a shame that neopets is chain freezing, it was sort of obvious they were doing this. My old account, zap300 was frozen for no reason, and within a month the rest of my 3 extra accounts which were vacant were iced.

SLOW DOWN TNT!

1. When did you start targeting innocent victims?
2. Where does it says we'll be frozen for out past misdoings?

I've lost my own account too!

it's actually pretty easy to verify. anyone of us can write to Bryan asking him if he wrote something like that and that is what i intend to do later on.

And I hate to be the suspiscious type, but who video records themselves restocking? I understand he's been frozen before, but unless you're worried about something, you don't usually go to those lengths to create an alibi. As for calling your service provider for a new IP address, most scammers/hackers aren't devoted enough to go to those lengths. I understand the concept behind chain freezing, but if (as shroomy says) real people do each freezing, they should take into account the circumstances behind it.

And though no one has accused TNT of being perfect grammarians, I have misgivings about the legitimacy of a letter that uses the word 'misgivings' where 'misdeeds' would be more appropriate.

When it comes to poor grammar, can we really put anything past them?

That was not, I don't think, what is making people think that email isn't completely on the up and up. The email I have from a support person has typos in it. *shrug* They're only human, everyone makes grammar/typos.

Johnny does bring up a very good point on this particular case -- someone going to the trouble of actually videotaping themselves during a rs. That kind of raises a red flag, at least to me.

I don't think in the case of an IP freeze/ban, there is a person involved. It just doesn't make any sense given the number of staff. There's actually someone sitting there waiting and searching for certain IP addresses? With the sheer number of people creating accounts/playing on the site?

I've read that what some people on high speed do if they do, for whatever reason, get IP banned is simply unplug their internet connection for a few days. They then get a new IP. I don't know if that's true, I'm not using high speed (if only I could afford it).

Roo, ouch! Having that happen is just terrible. Having one account frozen, then the others out of the blue. I recall someone who used to be a reg on the HD getting caught in an IP ban because their IP was extremely close (like only one or two numbers off) to a scammer. It took quite awhile but they were able to get it straightened out and got their account back.

No comment on this specific person, I don't know him even close to well enough to know one way or the other. And of course, none of us are sitting and watching him on the computer. Screenshots I've always thought were good evidence in cases of glitches, missing lab maps, etc., but then I found that many people are very good at making fake ss. Not that I can, my skills are negligible.

Heh. Unfortunately it's much easier than that. We were having IP problems at one point because my bro had gotten one that was previously banned by game faqs. We had to unplug for 1 minute, and *poof* new IP.

If you've done thigns wrong in the past, you must be prepared to deal with them in the future. Wheteher or not you've changed your ways, people don't have to accomadate the "new" you, especially when they have better things to do. Anyone getting what I'm saying?

Ex: You were arrested for DWI or summat after your third time doing it. Let's say they decide you can never drive again. ever. (this will never happen, becuase like most crimes they just slap you on the wrist and then let you go; in New Mexico they just pull you over, fill up your gas and give a few more beers) One day you ecide you're never drinking again and want to drive. too bad, you can't. I say so sad, so bad, becuase he should've thought of tha BEFORE he did his wrongs.

Having received a few replies from other Neopets staff, the email looks to be set out slightly differently. All the emails I received start "Hi," not "Hello,".

I just pulled up the one reply sent to me and it does start with "Hello" and not "Hi".

Yeah but people who work on support don't have to be English graduates. Even I didn't think of "misdeeds" O_o and I live in the Uk most of the time :P

I think it's a bit ott to slate their grammar. Everyone makes mistakes, even teachers!
