wait was that supposed to be funny?... if it wasnt sorry.

Anyway, yes i do belive in ghosts because of ghostly activity that happens in haunted places. I mean when doors shut and temperature just suddnely drops in certain places, what more proof do you need? I also used to think a ghost lived in my old house but there wasnt one, i just would always watch scary movies and it made my imagination go wild whenever i was alone or in the dark by myself.

The ghost of the person who used to own our house lives in my basement. The first time we discovered it was when we were all eating dinner at our kitchen table, and a little ball of sort-of yellowish light came floating up the stairs, across the kitchen, and to the screen door, where it disappeared. Next day we called up the 'Ghost Busters of Utah' or somesuch company (can't remember the exact name) and had them come in. They went down there with all this equipment and did....soemthing. I dunno what. We weren't allowed down. And told us we had a ghost. He's never made another big appearance like that first one, but he's still here. You can only see him in infrared, though, If you turn off all thhe lights and turn the vido camera on infrared, then you can watch the little screen and see the little specks of light, just sort of wandering across. They like the bottom of the stairs esecially.

That's really only the 'guaranteed' one. There's a girl that likes to follow me. I think she's like 17, about 4 years older than me. She talks to me sometimes, just about...y'know, stuff. It's like having an oldr sister that isn't really there.

And there's a poltergeist, too. I think it posesses me sometimes. It loves messing with the telly controls.

And OMG..I forgot the most important one (at least IMO) This has a pretty good story behind it. When I was about 8, my friend Erick and I were swimming at the rec center near his house. WE met a guy there, and he was giving us rides around, just playing with us. It was great fun. Anyway, he left after a couple of hours and said he was going to go over tot he high-dives with a few of his mates. About...oh, 15 minutes later, the place was swarming with paramedics. We had no idea what happened, so we went over the the high-dive pool. The place wasn't contained yet, so we were able to get right up to the pool. Right by the side was the man we'd been playing with. He'd done a belly flop off the highest board, and his chest cavity had like split open. He died just then, but he looked straight at me before he did. Ever since then, he see the reflection of his face in the water, either next to mine or instead of it. And sometimes I see blood in the watter like it's coming from my hands.

From an old topic. So, yeah, gotta say I believe in them.

I just thought I'd say that, according to research, more Britons believe in ghosts than in God. o_o;

Some 68 per cent of those polled for a survey said they believed in the existence of ghosts and spirits - while only 55 per cent said they believed in the existence of a God.

I do. Sort of.

I mean, in the back of every human mind, there is some kind of belief that you cannot cease to exist. Your brain can't imagine not existing. So maybe the whole concept of ghosts is just some kind of way for the brain to trick itself into thinking that death is only a hurdle, not the end of the race.

Maybe thats true for you, but not for everyone. Perhaps i'm just weird, but I have no problem with simply 'ceasing' to exist. Thats my belief. And others as well. In the back of every human mind lies something different from the human next to them.

As for myself, I do believe in ghosts, since I am a Christian and believe in the Holy Trinity.. I believe in demons as well.

I appreciate that a lot, however, the survey relates specifically to British people.

I strongly believe in this stuff, given I don't have a religion or what have you.

Never saw on, couple family memebers have from time to time. I know my mother told me once at house we lived in the City there was a ghost, an older woman who died there before we moved in (....) Anyways, i guess the house was a mess one day and we left, came back and everything was picked up and cleaned perfectly.

I wish I was old enough to remember that..but that would make me about 21 which makes me sad..cause I could be doing stuff lol

I believe in ghosts. Some people tell me I have an over-active imagination but I do believe I have encountered ghosts. I've seen orbs before but one time when I saw orbs in my field of vision, it had an explanation. I got a migraine XD I usually see flashing lights and stuff just before I get one.

A couple of years back I believed that I had a guardian angel watching over me and I always wondered if it was my grandad. Because every time I got into bed I'd see a dark shadow lying above my pillow, just to the side of my head.

I also saw something in a photo I'd taken in Wales. Me and my mom looked at a photo and saw a very bright white 'thing'. It took the shape of a very deformed person. Usually, stuff like that wouldn't bother me but this was different because this 'thing' was hovering over a grave stone.

Uh, that's just hurtful! It's Halloween! Ghost's have been aroudn since man has started to record anything, Ghosts have been around in all cultures of life for thousands of years.

I think they're real because to many cultures and places had them. Just as I personally believe there is more than just a 'god' because so hundreds of cultures have a pantheon of gods.

There is just to much coinencedence to say otherwise...least in my eyes.

Ummm.. she's allowed to voice her opinion, whether it is Halloween or not. Everyone has a right to believe what they want to or don't want to believe in.
