can someone please tell me what primary colours add together to make what secondary colours?

m_ann ill try it when i find out what colours to subtract lol, till then im stuck

In terms of paint :

Red + Blue = Purple
Red + Yellow = Orange
Blue + Yellow = Green
All three = Brown

In terms of light :

Green + Blue = Cyan
Red + Blue = Magenta
Red + Green = Yellow
All three = White

just for reference..i tried various times to read secondary scrolls and exclude primary but use their complimetary? colours form the first set of lights to get th eorder from. using the basic 3 colours on the 2nd crystal i in any order i never managed to find the secondary coloured scroll i wanted.


oh i also tried chef and fortune teller again to nothing new.

Instead of eliminating the primary colors that were in both patterns, I tried using white because I think white is the new color shining through. The crystal already has blanks. I looked for a white scroll in the blue catalog only because the primary color on the first crystal was blue. I found the white kha scroll, but 4 racks down I found another one so I guess this wont work either.

does nayone kknow what of the subtraction metods have been tried?

tablet order, catalogue old order, catalogue new order, ?
skip out the 4 colours that stayed the same?
read the 4 colours that stayed the same twice?
in order of crystal colours 1 colours?
in order of crystal 2 colours (ogp, opg, gpo, gop, pog, pgo)?

beofre i start the tedious task of attempting them all to rule them out?

Don't worry! Go back to the Chef, he'll give you a new one. Then you can go fall into a Spike trap again and upgrade your crystal again, and voila, all done.

I think I know why some people insist that they have read the scrolls that were determined by their first light set, in the correct catalog order, and they still haven't gotten the "sharp eye" message. I observed that, in the basement, there is a location where it says you are in "The Catacombs, Section Dust," but if you click either of the two scroll racks north of you, and actually look at them, the caption at the top says "The Catacombs, Section Sand." If you were looking for a "Dust" scroll, you could easily click one of these (it says you're in the "Dust" section), fail to notice the caption at the top, and read a Sand scroll when you intended to read a Dust scroll. That would wreck your whole sequence. This same situation occurs throughout the Repository, anyplace where two sections border each other.

I am posting this in case no one has brought it to the board's attention before. Perhaps a mod will find this WARNING worthy to include in the First Post Summary.

I thought it might help others to summarize some things. Warning to the rest of you, it might simply make you go crazy if you stare at it long enough.

What we know:

First our light spectrums had only the three basic primary colors (red, yellow, blue).
We used the light spectrum to label our tablet symbols.
We used the crystal to determine order to read the catalogs.
We read 4 scrolls each of 3 colors, totaling 12 scrolls, to get a clue ("sharp eye").
We had to fall into a spike trap and click on a skull eye to get a new crystal.

Both crystals appear to be layered one over the other in the Mysterious Room.
Now our light spectrum has both primary and secondary colors (and possibly white light).
All 4 blank spaces remain fixed in the same spot, as well as 4 of the original primary colors; 8 colors changed to secondary.
Our catalogs have changed content and color sequence but are still in the basic three primary colors.
Our catalogs have a "Wet Paint" sign on them now.
Our new crystal has a triangular pattern of the three complimentary/secondary colors (orange, green, purple).
Our new crystals are all identical, contrary to our first crystals.

* Some users have gotten a message after reading certain specific scrolls saying "Anubis Toxicology Reports" instead of the usual "Hopefully your pet learns something."

Light vs. Paint:

Red + Yellow = Orange <> Blue
Yellow + Blue = Green <> Red
Red + Blue = Purple <> Yellow

when you find your symbol in the correct catalog, it will give you a location in the RS. Go to that section and find the scroll in the color and symbol you used to find it in the catalog. Click on that scroll. Your pet will read it.

Ack! My previous post was deleted because I pressed "back". =(

Anyway, I've got the sharp eye problem. I can't get it. My first room is Sakhmetian Archives, Rm. 114 (blue bird). I went in there and read a blue bird scroll. And so on, until I reach the red. Artisan Licensing Records, Other. Red Set (roman two-ish symbol) x2. So I read the same scroll twice.

Is that wrong? O_o didn't work for me...

btw. For the Useless Crystal, first version. The order of the colors go from left to right, right? ^^;
