I.... I can smell distress in the air.

Something is unnatural.
But its..... its coming your way!

Dont worry, The Wonder Weezel is here to save the day again!

*flies over, tackles you and does a triple-summersault with you in his arms to save you from the evil Jarhead.*

Although Jarhead does sound like a believeable villain name, im talking about the Movie. Just came out in theaters on Friday.

Now, it had some good acting... and some interesting parts... but about halfway through, it all went down hill

The ending is HORRIBLE. There is NO conclusion. There is NO conclusion because there is NO PLOT. And im not being sarcastic. There is actually no plot to this movie what so ever. They go out to desert storm and walk around in the desert looking for bad guys... and dont find any, really.

So.... they go home.

There is no plot. Dont waste your time, dont see this movie.

*phew*.. im glad i could just get here in time....

-Your friendly neighborhood The Wonder Weezel

Jarhead
Do not be surprised if this movie comes in first place at the box office this week. The theater was absolutely packed for the late showing, and the earlier showing had sold out. This film follows a group of scout snipers during the first Gulf War. However, this film is not about war--but instead asks the question "Why do soldiers get so emotionally messed up by war?" The film contains no traditional battle sequences--but instead spends most of the time following the group as they move through the rubble of the airstrikes. Very emotionally gripping at times--but also completely empty at others. I would have liked to learn a little more about the characters who feel under-cooked at the end of the film. Some events are never really explained--which is a shame, because they seemed to be going in the right direction. Excellent performances by Jake Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, and Jamie Foxx (who is becoming one of the best actors in Hollywood . . . I'm in awe). Gyllenhaal really moves the story along--and plays the character with great depth and feeling. Sarsgaard plays detached better than a lot of people--so when his character finally caves in emotionally the scene really means a lot. Sarsgaard is already expected to get a nomination for this role, and it would be difficult to argue that he does not deserve it. Jamie Foxx plays the Staff Sargeant with a good amount of intensity. Even though he seems to be playing the "traditional" Sarge character--he still brings a little bit of a twist to it. The film ends with the line "We are still in the desert," which in itself is the strongest statement in the film.

I think that's the whole point. I heard a review about it. They said that's how Desert Storm was for many soldiers... They went to the desert and had little info about what they were there for and ended up waisting their time. I'm sure the writer's making a point about war.
