Its not just the quality of the art itself -in most cases-, but the striped kougra has FOUR mistakes I can see.

Im going to mail them with the defects. But before I do I want people to post other problems with pet colors so I can mail them those too. x3

I uh....don't see any mistakes.

Other then different size legs for the second one which you can always attribute to angles....

ears color and back i see

I don't see any images at all!

ok, If I right click I can view them. I think the shading is a bit wonky and throw the back left (it's right) leg a bit off is just a perspective thing. The different color of ears and underbelly between the two is noteworthy.

Kay, so the legs have got some pretty desperate issues, and the coloring....but what else have you spotted?

OK, the lighter color on the first on my monitor is a pink, on the second it's definitely a light blue; the inside of the ears and belly pink in the first, a yellowy shade in the second and I see the bridge of the nose in the second is a darker blue - no highlights...and the edges of the paws. There is no edge color on the first and there is in the second.

Almost looks to me like 2 different artists did the poses/colored them? Hey, things happen *shrug* I guess it's not a big deal to me in the overall scheme of things (plus I don't really like striped pets).

I can't seem to load neocolours (I get a connection refused error), but the Fire Ruki has a lot of mistakes.

The beaten pose is what bothers me most. The red from the leg spills into the abdomen, which doesn't happen anywhere else.

Chocolate ruki has to be one of the worst colors. It's obvious that they copied the brown ruki and just added some sprinkles on it. There are a lot of inconsistancies in the poses as well. Some of the poses don't look anything like chocolate at all.

To sum this up - Duh. They do have lazy artists anymore. I remember when we RARELY, if ever seen ANY mistatkes when it camet o the art. sure, it might looked dorky, but it was all consistant!

I already sent this in as a very polite bug report, and recieved a very polite response from the staff saying they are aware of most of the errors like this, and they are next on the list to be fixed.
Of course, they also said they probably wouldn't get done till the artists finish their current projects... whatever that means

That's really quite odd. You'd think the artist would know about these mistakes. I mean, they're pretty big!

I always thought that the overall appear of the pets should be one of the most important and most focused on parts of Neopets. I mean sure items, games, plots and such are fun and all well and good, but when you really think about it, isn't the whole point of the game the pets? I mean, who want an inconsistant pet? Or a pet colour/type that doesn't get loaded even though its on the server and has been announced. I mean... its just silly.

When I first saw this thread, I didn't see any difference in colors between the two kougras. That was on my ancient laptop where my color world is distorted because of a crappy monitor.

However, I'm on my fam's computer now and YIKES! They're totally different! Hopefully that'll be corrected...
