I know mine is B, and i believe it is B+ because I know if you are negative your mom has to get some shot if they are positive to keep her body from killing the baby. I know my mom did not get said shot. Therefore... I am B+. lol.

For those wondering, you can get your blood typed with a very little amount. You don't have to give a pint or anything - a few drops ought to do it.

As for me, my blood type is "red."

I forget mine, it's A something I think. It should be in my birth certificate. I don't get it how here they don't tell you the blood type of the baby, in my country they do. Here they take the blood but don't tell you the type or anything like that, maybe you have to request it or something.

I keep meaning to donate blood but I keep chickening out. My mom had to use around four pints when she was in the emergency room twice this year, and I'm grateful that there are people who donate, it saved my mom's life. I wish to repay this back in the future but I can't seem to get over sitting there loosing blood x_x. I keep thinking I'll faint or something x_x, I will have to stop being a baby and give blood.

We're not completely sure, but my dad thinks I'm O+.

I do not know. Really.

I think I'm O-. Well, O something. Not entirely sure though, so I won't click the poll.

Shame, I'd love to be a universal receiver.

Omg, you people should really find out your blood types sometime soon.

I'll find out when I'm old enough to give blood.

I'm not paying £20 to find out what my blood type is, and at present, unless I require a blood transfusion, that's the only way I can find out.

My dad is A+ and my mum is B+ (I think, might be B-) so I could be A, B or AB. Would like to be AB really :P

No you don't. Almost all hospitals in the UK don't carry AB- AT ALL! There are some hospitals that keep a pint or two of AB-, but that's only if they have some left over from when it was ordered in for someone.

And Shapu is right. you don't need a lot of blood. You just need a few drops from your finger. 50 microlitres I believe it was. And that's not a lot.

Not a clue. Like Igg, I'll find out when I give blood.

If you're AB you can receive from anyone.

I know you don't need a lot of blood. I asked if they could tell me my blood type when I had blood tests, but they said I'd have to pay, so I won't.

I don't know.

Haven't got a clue. Suppose I'll find out when I can give blood, assuming I can here, I know I can't in the States for ages yet...

Yikes, I don't know.

The only thing I know about it is that it's different from my parents blood types. :P

But if you're AB-, you can only receive from negative blood types. That is, according to http://chapters.redcross.org/br/norther ... dtype.html
Blood with a Negative RH factor is rarer though.
