Where I live, you only enter the jury pool when you register to vote. Guess who's nearly 25 and never voted? :P I think one of my friends got out of jury duty, but I don't think I know anyone who has actually been required to do it, and certainly not for an important case.

Wow, that's not really something to be bragging about. Voting is really important. It's one of your basic and most influential rights.

Um, I was bragging? Sure, I added an emoticon, but only because I'd already been so dreadfully serious throughout the first part of my post that I felt I needed to break the tension I had created.

When I find a candidate in any election (local, state, national) that I feel is worthy of my vote (and not just a case of the lesser of two evils), I will register. Until then, no jury duty for me.

I don't think she was bragging. And another basic right is the right not to vote. *shrugs*

My parents have both done it. They said it was really boring, and both of the cases were pointless.

my dad had jury service once. it was ok,. he got a free hotel room in hamilton for about a week

My band director had to do it when we were having this concert thing downtown in the city where I live, and so he had to keep skipping back and forth and we had the retired band director come and help out. The courthouse was pretty close to where we were performing though, but it was a good thing he didn't get held back with the jury duty.

My mom's been called, but not had to do it.

She locked herself out of the car that day :P

Actually, its not a right, nor a privelige, its a responsibility.
Anyone who fails to vote has no say in the polotics of your country, and so have no right to complain about anything. Ever.
Well, okay, go nuts about ducks and suchforth, but saying how terrible Yuri, dave or frank are is a no-no.

*I might hate the methods, but i will be damned if i let them be abused like this*

My mom and dad for sure have been on Jury Duty before. And most likely a few of their friends as well.

Me though? I'm too young, heh.

My mother was called once for Jury Duty but she was out of the country. So, she couldn't come.

I really want to go one time, it would be really fun.

Was called, was busy, was sent to jail for a night, didn't go, didn't get bothered again.

That would be moi.
