I used Time of Your Life by Green Day for the class of 2005 slideshow I did for my graduation ceremony and dinner/dance. <3 that song.

The correct title is "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" and if we use that, it's bound to make me cry ;_;

But I think it's a good choice.

Yeah, that is a good song. I think I'd tear up a bit, too. <3

Good Riddance has been used at every graduation ceremony/open house/dance since it came out, I swear. ^^; It's a good song, but wow is it popular for end of the year/graduation/ending of some sort events. I know it played during my class's end of the year video, and the class before mine, and the class after mine, and the class after that, and the class after that. And given I graduated in '99, long after the song came out...

You know, we could always have something for the ladies. Methinks a bit of the lovely Cyndi Lauper? *goes into truly ultra-cliche mode* Girls Just Wanna Have Fun? ^_-

Let's use Led Zeppelin - D'yer Mak'er

It's just got the perfect.. music!

I think that is an excellent suggestion!!

I have a couple suggestions:

"The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" by Simon and Garfunkel
"Who Are You" by The Who (when you're flashing pictures of PPT members...get it? Who are you? Hahaha...I'll stop the insanity now)
"Bron-Yr-Aur", "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp", and/or "Tangerine" by Led Zeppelin

All great songs!

EDIT: Thought of another song to add, since it's been stuck in my head all day: "Mahna Mahna" by The Muppets :)

man you guys have a lot of song suggestions! And I love them all! I agree with everything- every single song. Another sort of corny but inspiring song is "Live like you Were Dying" by Tim McGraw. Yeah yeah, i know but its still a good song. And i <3 Josh Groban soooooooo much!!! His voice is amazing. (and on the plus side, hes also kinda cute.... lol!)

so yeah, this sounds like a great idea. :D

Well it beats the Graduation song by Vitamin C. :P We had that one at my junior high grad. Can't stand that one. lol

I also used "Here's to the Night" by Eve6 on the slideshow. Great song.

Agreed on Vitamin C >< I don't like that song. However Heres to the Night is so great <3 <3 <3

Mylene, that's a great idea, we should totally use Girls Just Want to have Fun :)

Boys? What boys? We only talk about them, they don't exist!

I have a suggestion for background music. ^^ We Are Tomorrow - Bleach. If you want the lyrics, I can give them to you. I made my own PPT wallpaper (8)) and had lyrics from the song. ^^

But since she's not giving them, I will. :)

Freeze the frame, memorize it
Take the mistakes, and don't go back
To where we've always been
The time has come that we begin, to shine
To shine
It's our time
It's now or never

We want today
We want yesterday
We are tomorrow

Here we come, it's our season
I swear that it's true
But it takes faith in more than what we are
Faith in more than what we are to shine
It's our time
Make us shine
It's now or never

We want today
We want yesterday
We are tomorrow

Can we ever, it's now or never it's our time
Will we ever, it's now or never

We want today
We want yesterday
We are tomorrow

I also know of a site where you can hear it, too. Although I may see getting a strike if I give it out...even though it's right on the website.

Personally I agree with Good Riddance and Here's to the Night.

Haha, they played the Vitamin C song during my Junior High graduation too. xD
