I actually think this is really disgusting. They're doing that to the animals against their will. Do you think they LIKE being dyed? I certainly don't. I accidentally got blue dye on my Jessie when I was dying my hair once, and she was mad for the rest of the day.

I wouldn't do it. First off, in my biased opinion, Chella is the single most beautiful dog in the world, and why would I want to change her? Second off, I know for a fact she would hate the dying process because she's an impatient little prat like myself, and she also hates water, which I'm sure would be involved.

Though I don't really have a problem with anyone who does do it- it's not like this is some new thing that just popped up recently. Lots of toy dogs, poodles especially come to mind, have been dyed long before this came up.



Depends on the dog, I think. Lots of dogs love being groomed, I doubt those particular dogs would mind this.

Maybe I'm the only person that doesn't find it so cute, I find it rather um... awkward? I can't really think of the word right now. Leave the poor pandas alone. Mockery I tell you!

I would probably never dye my dog though. Especially since I'll never have one of those small dogs.

It could attract more adopters to get those pounded pets and as long as it does not harm the dog I think it'd be fine.

Don't you want people to love you for who you are, not your looks though?

If this was the total case, people would not breed dogs to look certain ways.

I don't think I could ever personally dye an animal's fur. I would get a pet for it's natural personality. I do think the dog is cute though

Point A: smurf that dog is cute. That pandaness...rocls my socks.
Point B: I don't see any reason why not to dye dogs. If I had any logical reason to dye one (or had one that COULD be dyed) I'd do it. (MY baby is a Hungarian Vizsla and therefore probably not very dyeable)

Hair dye is a pretty harmful substance.

I doubt the dog is going to be emotionally scarred because it's been dyed. All it feels is that you're rubbing stuff on its fur. Same sensation when you bathe your dog.

Bottom line is, my dog eats her own crap and sniffs people's behinds as way of greeting. I doubt she's too priss to withstand a dye job.

Heh....mine HATES it. Unfortunately it's a neccessary evil. She doesn't shed so she needs her hair trimmed periodically.

I hate taking her to the groomer. With the way she pulls on her leash and those eyes she makes...you'd think the groomer was trying to take her down the Long Walk.

I think that lil dog looks adorable.
I'd never do it to my dogs though, but if it does help those dogs get homes and the products being used on them won't hurt them any.. then more power to the people doing it.

As for dogs that like being groomed.....
I give my dogs baths once a month... one hates it with a passion.. but the other will jump right into the tub for her turn.
It's hilarious b/c she only started doing it a few months ago. She finally realized that this was a way to get her butt scratched
