I used to love Pepe Le Pew cartoons. There was this one cartoon where a mexican hairless dog is made fun of by the other dogs because she doesn't have any fur. So she finds a fur but it is a skunk fur. So she glues this on but the other dogs are afraid of her and Pepe Le Pew is in love with her.

Anyway, I only could find one picture of her, and it is just a sketch. I could probably find a picture of her if I could remember her name. It was like Suzette or Evette or something..ette..
but I know it wasn't Fifi in the final cartoon.

Anyway, I was trying to decide what I thought of the Xweetok because it reminded me of something. Then I remembered this old cartoon and I was wondering if anyone else remembered it. Because the Xweetok drawing style reminds me of the way that Chunk Jones draws, especially the eyes.


What reminded me of the Pepe Le Pew Cartoon was this animated greeting:

Because in the Pepe Le Pew cartoon the little dog looked a lot like that once she glued on the skunk fur.

Yes I can see they look very much alike. Hmm just like the yurble it looked sort of like a Disney character I cann't seem to put a finger on what one.

o yea.. i remember now.. i only saw like 2 or 3 episodes.. i didnt think it was all that good, and i didnt see the first episode, so i just thought it was two skunks and one didnt like the other..... i forgot his name but this was some bulldog character.. i used to watch that cartoon all the time...

No, I didn't draw the picture, but it is was the only one I could find of her. I guess she never had a name. From what I could find out, that one cartoon was kind of rare anyway. I do remember watching it before on Nick, back when they used to show a lot of Looney Toon Cartoons.

I was looking at the Xweetok and trying to decide what I thought it looked like. I guess most people are saying it is more mouselike, but I still think it looks like a dog.

I dont think that dog in those drawings looks so much like a dog though, its a very mousy dog, but I certainly see the similarity.

It's so nice to see someone who doesn't automatically equate the Xweetok with anime just because the eyes are so large and shiny (Zafaras, anyone?).
