Personally, I haven't, but I do drink Sprite (lemonade) with two raw egg yolks yummmmy!

What are some weird drinks you have drunk?

Eggnog is one of those things where it is either good or bad. Eggnog in a can isn't that good, and well, that is likely what you would get. Some people make it homemade and then it is probably better. I've only had the canned stuff and an Eggnog type shake at Sonic, that wasn't so bad.

I've seen how it is made homemade style and it doesn't really look that hard. Emerl made some with eggwhites and whipped cream and milk. Then he put nutmeg in it and "just a little rum..,maybe a little more?.....oh what the heck..BAM!" So I think his ended up being more alcholic than I would have liked. But it did look good.

I've had Advocaat before, is that similar to eggnog? You can combine advocaat with lemonade to make a "Snowball", which sounds pretty similar to SL's drink (even though I thought "ew" when I first read his post :P).

It's a really nice drink to have at Christmas :)

My thoughts exactly.

I've had eggnog before, and I like it. I usually have it during the holidays.

Perhaps i'm just wrong, but in my food safety course I heard that salmonella came from the outside of the egg shell, and not from the inside. (Btw. Wash cantelopes before you eat them, they've got a higher chance of having salmonella on them then eggs do).

Salmonella comes from any part of an infected animal, because it travels through the bloodstream. It's excreted through feces and nitrogen waste in birds (birds don't have bladders, they have glands that excrete nitrogeneous waste into the cloaca), besides being in the meat (meat has blood vessels) and eggs that developed after the bird was infected.

Salmonella's almost never fatal - but it is very...well, it's interesting. Not at all like Giardia. That's a pretty annoying one.

On-topic - I love nog. Noggy nog nog.

Of course I have had eggnog!
But only sparingly, and rarely, and in teeny amounts (from a carton y'know).
It is SO rich!

I like it plain, but most of the time my mom mixes it with sprite to make it thinner. The eggnog. Not two egg yolks. -That's- just weird.

My parents are currently obsessed with Silk's vegan eggnog. I've had a few sips, but it's not really my cup of tea. I'm sticking with cider.

Let's see...well, I've stopped drinking really weird stuff. No more tabasco sauce/Sprite/iced tea/cocoa drinks for me. (It was a dare, I promise.) Hmmm...you know, most beverages stop sounding that weird once you think about them. Except the egg yolk/Sprite thing. That's pretty darn weird. :P
