I've never posted any of my artwork on PPT so I thought I'd begin with some of my scratch art. I love doing scratch art because it's so fun (though a bit messy) and the finished product looks pretty spiffy.

Here's a chipmunk (black and white) and a pair of birds (black and silver):

I've got a few extra sheets lying around (I believe they're black and copper) so if you have an idea for the next drawing, I'd love to hear it!!

Those are amazing. I had never heard of scratch art before, but the definition I found fit what I was guessing it was very well.

That is truly some amazing realism. I even have to say that I think the bird are beautiful and that I like them best...and this is coming from a girl who strongly dislike/fears birds in general.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your art.

That's really amazing. If you could do a fox or something in copper, I think it would turn out very cool^^

I love the birds! They look so soft!

Nice attention to proportions and shading!

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

o_o

Those are amazing! I love the detail you're getting out of them :)

Seconding Amethyst's suggestion for a fox, because copper's the kind of colour which would suit it :)

Gone, forever.

Very nice.

I find scratch art a lot harder than just pencil/paper art- and I'd be wowed if you had done those on just regular paper. Fantastic.

as for the next piece, you should do a duckie. that would be awesome, and probably easier then a stinky old fox :P

Scratch. Art. Is. Hard.

:P
But you did fabulous with it! The detail is amazing, as well is the anatomy. You have a very good style working with it, natural and smooth.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm currently working on a cougar's head and I'll post that once it's done. A fox is a good idea so I may do that next. :)

Twinkle- Yup they do have kits with preprinted lines that you scratch off. I've done one of those before because my dad for some reason thought that's what I always used. The ones I normally do are completely blank (like with those above) and I don't like the typical scratch art tools so I just use whatever is thin and sharp. :)

In that case, that's bloody fantastic! Do you do anything other than animals?

You know, I've never tried anything else. :o I should most definitely experiment some time--perhaps with plants or a landscape? I'm not sure how well a person would turn out though (especially since drawing real people are my weakness).
