You're seriously spending over $1000 just for the systems alone?

Why not? Aside from being insanely expensive, it's a good plan.

Getting the benefit of all the console exclusives (Metal Gear Solid 4 [PS3], Halo games [360] and the Zelda/Mario games [Rev]), you can also be severely pretentious and say things like, "Well, on the [Console of choosing] it is sooo much better."

Of course, the guy with the PC trumps all of them.

Although the guy with the PC doesn't get those exclusives you mentioned. Except maybe Halo 3.

True enough, although if you have a PC, you're likely to be enthralled with World of Warcraft 2: Ha Ha We Have Your Soul.

:P

Blizzard said about a year ago, when WoW came out that they were making a WoW for Xboxlive, and then shushed it all up. There was a comment from the guys at blizzard which was *deleted* about 2 hours after it came out.

If i can, I may aswell, I play both my xbox and ps2 equally, and if the revolution has the crazyness it seems to have, its a must have for me, and the interactionability for the DS and Revolution is well worth it.

PS3 has potential, in fact, I basically say it's the best console out there! Well after it's released it'll be either one of the best, or the best! Obviously in my opinion. 8)

One reason is, PS3 has extraordinary graphics, well I've heard from reviews that it does, and its controller may be quite, annoying, but when you look at the revolutions controller it changes everything!

Although XBOX has had the best graphics so far, and the Revolution is quite good, with the graphics, and games, etc etc, that doesn't mean the PS3 isn't popular. Sure the Revolution's going to cost WAY more cheaper, but if it was around the price of PS3, I wouldn't get it, I'm sure you fans out there would. :)

I don't really think the "Revolution" is Revolutionary, in fact neither is the 360 or the PS3, the PS3 might be around $400-$500, but for you budget people, what happens when the PS3 drops to around $300, and the HDTV thing, is that optional, or complusary to be compatible with the console? 360 might be expensive, but I suppose maybe the revolution's cheap because of the graphics? Can someone confirm this? o_O

But I assume that PS3 will probably be one of the greatest consoles that have ever been created! :D

Ugh... Halo... *head explodes*

I can do the same thing just by having a friend who has the 360. You don't actually have to own the console to know what you're talking about and to be able to rate games, you just have to have some sort of long-term exposure to it.

Edit - The HDTV thing is purely optional though I've seen people on other forums trying to use that as a "weakness" of the PS3. It's optional, not required (no matter what you hear, nothing of the sort has been confirmed ).

Yeah, but if you and your friend have an argument (such as: "You did what with my sister?" "No, dude, it was your mother.") you're not likely to be let in the house.

I agree, though. That's a better plan than spending entirely too much money on games.

Yeah but I'm just giving a simple assumption, knowing the knowledge I have tooken from resources such as, articles from the internet, and reviews from magazines, and such. So I actually kind of agree with you Kev, If I'm going to get the PS3, after that, emotions will be running everywhere about the consoles! :roflol:

One thing we have skipped, is the xbox name. Everyone has kind of skipped over that, but

the xbox 360?

PS3 I get, you know, PS1, PS2, PS3, it seems normal. The Revolution is revolutionary.. but the xbox likes circles? doesn't work >.>

fanboy..

360 comes from both the ps3 and revolution.

3 matching ps3.. and add 60 to make a full revolution.

so hard to understand?

Revolution isn't revolutionairy, it's been done before by other companies, but those attempts weren't popular enough

I'm a little concerned about the revolution controller. One handed, EEK! From the looks of it the games won't be to hard to control, since you can only press one button at a time.

You... realize that if he were a fanboy, it would probably be to the XBox, right?

Where did you get that information from? I've read nothing other than "XBox 2 makes the system sound inferior." which is true. If my competitors were making the PS6, I wouldn't name my console the XBox5. I don't think the number 360 makes it sound superior, but it's much better than 2 (and they're basically doing a 360 anyway. Last generation, the Xbox was released last and the graphics were the best, this time they released first and the graphics may end up being the worst in the end [though no one can know until Nintendo actually releases some graphics for us.])

I give MS more credit than to come up with a way of making their name with that method. If that's how they did it, they fail at math (which would be hilarious since math is heavily required for their job...). The 3 in PS3 is not even required, and I'm sure they're more original than to steal their name from other consoles because they can't think of one.
